fortunately, our side by side refrig/freezer at lodge keeps our ice solid for cocktails..No Yeti required, unless stranded on desert island...then I'm screwed...

Reminds me of an episode played out some 35 years ago by some people bound and determined to feed several deer on a small brushy island, just above the brink of Niagara Falls. They wanted to load up a boat or barge and ferry over to this island to feed the deer fruits and vegetables...Kinda nuts. The stuff to be delivered just wasn't compatible for deer as I remember. Just toying with the idea of going across a portion of Niagara river to feed deer was just unbelievable to me. Wondered if anyone remembers the story...I believe it was on the local news back then.

In Lake placid a few years ago and walked through the hockey arena. Must have been an amazing atmosphere that evening long ago. Stayed at Art Devlins motor Inn. The owners son has quite a bit of the artifacts from the Olympics in the glass case, plus Art's medals from his days of world competition. The 400 meter speed skate track and the history created by Eric Heiden also was special. Heard stories on how the Olympic committee made it all work in 1980...School was held, I believe in the summer so that the kids could get their fall curriculum done before the world took over. Amazing place...some of the million dollar shacks surrounding Mirror lake were kinda nice also.

Never mind the nukes, I am worried more about the terrorist groups practicing dropping bad stuff with drones. For example, drones armed with some sort of accelerant, coasting innocently over forested or brushy areas, deliberately crashing the drones, with result of the crash setting fires over tinder dry areas of north America. Or drones rigged to spread poison over water bodies used for drinking water or drones bombing electrical transmission stations....wait a minute! what am I worried about? Obama is on the job....

I'm waiting on the ban on golf clubs from the fine senator.

The work is hard for sure, but the payoff is the living in the country a bit, away from the hustle and turmoil of city living. I just got back from the stupid Mall, where the little terrorists are off from skool(lol) roaming around, because it's too cold for them...funny how they still make it to coffee shops, vaping shops and malls to kill time. Rather work in the woods. Nice pictures.

Now where did I put those road maps to Florida?

I'm going to calm myself by gong back to the owl nest cam in Georgia....nice.
