yep, a lot of problems go away if people just stay off roads like the thruway in weather like this.

Probably will not happen. My guess is the neighbors will not go for it. Maybe 4 or 5 bowhunters at a time, given the size of the park?

I'm ready for it...my wife is ready for Florida...

Wild thought....Use the money to buy beachfront property in Cuba and wait for the Castro government to fail...I then move to sell property to a developer at a profit. West side of island, opposite Guantanamo....nice sun sets.. LOL.... -

Recall the pressure, I assume, placed on a famous deer hunting couple to produce deer video from last year. She had a baby in September and she and her husband were BOTH in the woods in October to do their job of producing deer kill video. Of course, they brought everything to accommodate the newborn... large travel mobile home, plus separate trailer to haul not only the hunting gear, but the newborn stuff, plus a grandparent or two to help out. Plus a temporary electric pole meter service to hook the trailer up....I assume all paid for by the company sponsoring them. Cannot recall the hunting couple's name...talk about pressure... Was an interesting experience watching those first videos produced by realtree 20 plus years ago...not so much now. -
After this past November, I would check the roof for snow load. just my 2 cents. Merry Christmas.

..AHH the memories of having only 2 weeks to bow hunt. Not happy with seemingly endless big game season as now set up. I prefer to old days of taking 6-7 days to hunt bow, then matriculate into shotgun season for about 3 weeks, then you're done. Extended big game season seems endless and a bit boring....sort of like the NFL. I was excited to sit down and watch a couple of games every Sunday, plus the Thanksgiving games. Now games and season are extended beyond belief into Thursdays, Saturdays, Super bowl into February,etc.. I feel the same about hunting now when seasons are extended the way they are now. Maybe just getting a little old, crotchety and batchy, sorry.

This April's Taxes May Be A Shock

Wife and I are thinking of relocating down south, just to get away from NY taxes and the weather. Both are too taxing on us. -
With the tree harvest under way and having a nice check in hand, I will propose to the club that we not only buy a suitable ATV, but also reclaim an alleged food plot, using the ATV to spray, turn the dirt, lime it and eventually plant some simple stuff for the wildlife that has abandoned our property. Also buy the "Groundhog Max" tiller/cultivator and use with the ATV to tear up the plot. On the other hand, not having the support of my fellow club members, this may not happen...getting support on such an obvious venture is like herding cats...Oh well..pass the Merlot.

I like the 6 point with the solid brow tines...5 to 6 inch brow tines with mass really gets me, plus a solid main frame.

Do coyote and crow contests tarnish hunters' image?
Merlot replied to Curmudgeon's topic in General Hunting
Announced contests such as these usually fire up the anti-hunt establishment. Rather see these contests go on under the radar, if possible, if people like to participate in this type of event.
