NYalntler I am mostly playing bluegrass myself. Just love the sound of it. Nothing like it. If you where a little closer I would say lets get together and maybe jam. That is my next step I don't jam with anybody and everybody say it is the way to really learn.

I am currently attacking the banjo and want to learn the harmonica. I have been picking for a couple of years now. This is my first string insturment I picked up and I think I should have started out with the guitar. Oh well I am having fun and I am told that is what it is all about.

I went out sunday with my two beagles we had a couple of short starts but with the deep snow I think the rabbits where just running under it. Now we are suppose to get 3-6 today and 12 -18 tomorrow I think the rabbit season might be over unless someone knows where I can pick up some snow shoes (not rabbits either)for the beagles?

I would think to get fired that way your would the company would have to have some sort of dress code in effect. Something along the lines of no ties with writing sponsors ETC.

I was in an area that wouldn't have held to many grey squirrels. I did see some red squirrle tracks but not that many. I went right after that snow storm on fri.

Well the trip wasn't a total flop we heard some grouse take off. The snow really put a damper on things. Couldn't see very far. The dog had a blast and it was good to get out anyway. I will be back up there for sure.

We use a set of midlands for work we use them everyday for 4-8 hours a day. I am a surveyor so they get wet dropped stepped on etc. They are by far the best radio's that we have had since we stopped buying the real expensive two way radios (300-400 dollars range). We tried the motorolas 3-4 different models and everyone had button,battery problems. I wouldn't ever by a pair again. The midlands cost the same for a pair of two.

These are my crazy dogs. Maybe I am crazy for having three. We got the lab last year and he retrieves well and does the whistle comands great. This was his first day out this year he did great but has alot of puppy in him still. You can't tell from the pic but he is 8 months old and 70-75 pounds. The two beagle ran decent for the conditions on sunday and this was after in the truck I think they were tired!!

Guys thanks for the heads up hopfully I will have some great pics to show you. I am brining my lab for the first time so it should be interesting to say the least.

Last years pic. I have been out three different times this year and have one rabbit. Not the dogs fault either somebody needs to practice some shootin.

Anybody hunt grouse up there. I am heading up that way and was wondering if there are any good to better spots to try. I don't need to know about your honey hole just someplace that we can see some and get some shooting. Any help would be great.

Rabbit season my dogs ran great I was a little less than par I missed the one rabbit that I was able to get inf ornt of. I was only out for two hours as I didn't want to run my dogs into the ground the first time out.

So I go out tomorrow to run my dogs it is like opening deer season all over again. Can't wait to get out

Well I sat the last day morning and night I out in about 6 hours in the stand yesterday. Saw some deer running away from me but nothing close enough. It was a typical day in the bowstand windy imagine that. haha Good season after all I got some venision in th freezer.

Yeah you have to be dead on with the old 410 it can get the job done but I like the 20 gauge to get the job done. I always use 71/2 or 6 shot.

I have one more day to get out I think I am going out with the bow in the morning then the muzzel loader. Maybe all day with the now who knows. we will see how it goes.

I live in the capital district so I run alot of cottentails just around the area. I tried one of my dogs on snowshoes last year and he seemed to get it right at the end of the hunt. I think I might try both of them this year we will see. I think a christmas eve run might be in the works. Good luck this year.
