Anybody hunting the last weekend I went out and saw nothing.

Sat all morning right till 11 now I am eating some granola bars and back to the stand in a few minutes. The deer were all overe the place last night

Come on now small game season just starts for me. I have two beagles and a lab. The lab is only 71/2 months old so I have some major training to do. I will keep all you guys informed on my frustrations with that dog. The stories will still roll in it might be a good idea to start a hard water forum for ice fishing.

I hear these stories every year and it is very sad. The only thing that i can come up with is they are shooting into the brush with know idea of what they are shooting at (obviously). Guys you can't get caught up in the moment you have to KNOW your target. Don't shoot into brush at something moving. I know it sound harsh but the shooter is an idiot.

The dogs are just waiting to get out there. i know I could run them any time though but i don't trust all those super sportsmen out there, so I wait untill deer season is over. These guy Elmer Fudd and Yukon cornelious are just chomping at the bit to get out can't you tell.

I shot that deer oh damn it I just woke up!! One more weekend to top it lets go!

I know people that have used the copper solids and they have had the same results. One hole not alot of blood and it was a good vital shot. I almost think you have to hit something hard like a bone for them to expand right.

I did some drives in the morning and then sat the afternoon and it was RAINING to say the least. Saw nothing to boot. MZL season is whne the big one will show its face. Hopefully

I have always seen doves on my friends farm. They bust out last minute and fly like hell. It would be fun to hunt them. In my earlier days I might have tried one or two of them. Not bad if they are cooked right.

Bow only areas get the same pressure deer all of the sudden they disappear. Then they come back after everybody has dissapeared. Smart little creatures.

It looks like a rabbit on a decent hop. not slow and not fast but just a decent hop. Like you though I would hope it was a deer that is going to be standing in your sights this weekend. If you can't get out this weekend let me know where you are and I will come up and try to get him in my sights.

Camera was cold so it is a little foggy but I think you can get the jist of them.

Now by no mean am i taken away from this buck plus these are just drops and I dream every night that he is still out there and bigger than the drops.

The problem is that some people say that it is thiers while the are sitting in YOUR treestand. That is where the disputs happen. Just be carefull getting up in someone elses treestand they might not be a safe minded as you are.

I have a set of antlers that are huge I have to take a pic of them they are a set and it is a six pointer. The g1 are 9 or ten inches. I found them at my old house I don't know if they are duplicates, They look real I would have loved to see this deer on the hoof. I will try to remember to put them up tonight.

That is they way I would have looked at it. It is good to see someone who doesn't really hunt or let hunters on his property relize the right thing to do. He is a good guy for that. Congrats on the extra meat in the freezer.

The people that say they saw or there deer was 200+ pounds goes with the grain of salt saying. I have shot deer and people say that that is a 180 pound deer right there and I am like I doubt it turns out to be 130 pounds on the sclae and they just look at me like I hit them in the jaw with a right hook. I was fortunate to take a 185 pound 9 pointer (dressed) once in 14 years of hunting I know what he looked like and some of these guys who have there pic up and say it was a 200 pound deer are crazy. Like I said before take it all with a grain of salt.

was out last night and the wind hust won't let up. This weekend will be the time.

Went out last friday to a new spot and found that the deer are still scraping. Of course i didn't see anything but I thought that was an interesting fact. I even saw rubs that looked new. Now I am starting to think I should have stayed bow hunting. Oh well.

Upstate where did you get the info on the 437 pound deer would love to see that info. I hunt around the albany county area. I would love to find out where these deer are hiding.

I heard this buck was taken in albany county. I don't know if it is true or not. Has anybody seen this picture before?

That is such a mean thing to do. I love the guys who put the tacs up to go 20 feet off the trail. I know some poeple don't have good sence of direction but come on with these glow tacs. I saw some device that actually lit up when you pushed a button. I guess when you get close to your stand you push the button and the light lights up and you can then get up in your treestand. Crazy world

Brew my own beer here and there. I have akegerator and keg. Best beer there is.

The bigs woods are worth it. Every minute if you think you are going to get a big deer quikly and easly then it isn't the place for you. I will tell you though put in you time and effort and you rewards can be great and there is no feeling like taking a buck in the adk's
