There are some really good rain gear on the market I don't know what they are off hand. You may try wearing a smaller size than you might want to or as I do tree umbrella.

4 of 5 bucks. never shot a doe with bow. Another spike, the first deer I shot at I hit high just below the vertebrae in no mans land and saw him the next day walk by the stand again but was fine so not sure where that falls. -
Looking for advice. Mid size v full size truck??
nybuckboy replied to regulat0r's topic in General Chit Chat
I've had Chevy 1500 Siverado's and F150 Crew Cabs but now have a 2013 Nissan Frontier SL crew Cab long box. Honestly it's my favorite truck of the bunch. It does what I need as far picking up plywood, long boards, etc fine. Unlike the OP, I don't have children anymore and I do not tow and really don't need the full size. The OP on the other hand needs the full size truck. Get the Crew Cab in whichever brand you like. As stated, the gas mileage isn't that much worse and with 2 kids and a dog + the ball and chain (just kidding) you will be much happier. -
I have a blonde coyote on my property too. I've seen it 3 times right from the house.

Tea is better. You can hear it hotter so it last longer. It is cleaner in your mouth so you don't coffee mouth. You can ad honey to it. It has as much caffeine.

I think "time" is the most important factor for which a hunter may decide to horn hunt rather than meat hunt. Obviously if you really like venison and you have only a few days to hunt you can't be as particular. To me... it would seem most likely someone with a lot of time, perhaps retired or simply takes off a lot of time during hunting season who has their own land or has a land lease, once again would be more likely to horn hunt.

I'm taking Nov 6 - 10 off plus I got Fridays off because I'm old.

I got to thinking... There has been much talk about about horn hunters and meat hunters... those of us who hunt for the mature trophy buck and those who hunt for most any buck. I'm not saying either is right or wrong. Do you think there is any correlation between the hunter who has: A- Land of their own or that is leased determining what and how they hunt B- A lot of time to dedicate to waiting it out for the mature or trophy buck C- Both owning their land or leasing as well as many days to hunt.

I think the heart's are too high on the foam targets... yes I agree they are not accurate.

quiet day for my son and I. He saw 4 doe and 3 fawns and I saw 1 doe all by 9:30am. I have a good herd of doe on the property so 3 weeks from now I should start to see the bucks nosing around.

the milkweed pods are for wind direction as they actually follow the wind rises and falls and are far more accurate than any powder puffer. Have 2 in a baggie ready to go.

Sounds like the craft beer is something you need to have in the woods every couple of hours just to keep your elbow lubricated along with a couple ibuprofen.

I have always used Montec G5 fixed blade broad heads and taken a few bucks with them. Last year at the urging of my son in law, I decided to try Rage Hypos 2 blade 100 gr. Question I am shooting a Mathews Halon 6 w/28" at 56 lbs and 403 grain arrow weight at 10% FOC. Is this enough for a Rage expandable? EDIT NOTE: My arrow speed is about 285 with KE at 72.6 and momentum at .5095 Specs IBO 345 FPS 70 lb with 350 gr, 30" arrow

Just wondering if anyone here has used or does use a scent dripper over a mock or real scrape? Results? ETC.
