As having a couple young ones myself, I haven't taken them out deer hunting yet for the same reasons you have stated. However I do take them out squirrel hunting since there are a lot of those little critters running around in the woods. They have a blast and you get to spend time with them in the woods. And welcome aboard!!

Just relived my childhood by watching that video. Use to jump off a bridge when I was a kid. They since tore down that bridge and the swimming hole is no longer there.

I am a Philly fan but Harvey is going to be a heck of a pitcher for a few years. Biz- hope you enjoy Victorino. Not a stellar player but fun to watch and was a huge fan favorite in Philly. P.S enjoyed watching the game last night with my 2 boys while the wife was baking in the kitchen. LOL Thanks for sharing the photos Biz. That would have been cool to watch.

Thanks everyone. Ants- I hope you didnt spend it all at once. lol G man- Now i can go hunting more. Only had 1 car last year during hunting season so that made things alittle tough. Plus i cant complain about the gas mileage. About 16 mpg city

I finally won a gun raffle!! I won a Benelli Super nova 12 gauge. Never owned anything but Remingtons so not quite sure what to expect? I haven't received it yet but hopefully I will have it within the next 2 weeks. I received a promotion at work at the beginning of the year and I purchased my first truck!!! Its a 2011 Ram 1500 with the HEMI. So hopefully by the end of the year I can finish with a big mature buck and put some blood on the tailgate!

I look for hunters as much as I do for deer. This way if I see a guy move in I reposition myself as to have my back where i saw them sit down and I put the tree that I sit at between me and him. I too wear an orange hat, coat and pants. It just gives me piece of mind if I get up and move a little.

I am ready. Watching the clock at work but the big hand and little hand dont seem to be moving. LOL Heading north tomm morning and ready to sit in the woods and have no care in the world. I have never personaly seen a buck chasing a doe on the opening day. My brother shot one about 3 years ago that was chasing doe. I shot a buck in 2007 and his neck was huge.

Here in central pa we had about 2 inches of rain and wind. Winds were gusting to about 50 mph lastnight. Never lost power in my area but around 2500 people were without power in my county. Had some water in my basement but nothing bad. G&R Cop- Everything alright with the house? Glad your family got out safely
