I am not a Giants fan or a Pats fan, however I did watch some of the game. I was honestly hoping that a fight would have happened suspended both teams and they both get hit with a lose.....but that didn't happen.

Congrats on your deer.
-
Yes, we call them Mountain Pie Makers though. We usually make Pizza one and then biscuits with either blue berry or cherry pie filling.
-
Congrats to both of you. I still remember my 1st deer 20 years ago and my dad and I were just talking about that yesterday. It is a memory that will last a lifetime and your son will cherish it forever.

I would have to say that my "average" shot is about 90 yards.

Remington Model 7600 .280 with a Bushnell Elite 3x9 scope using 140 grain Remington Corelokt Soft Points.

I clean mine then take it to the range to make sure that everything is in working order and let it go until after season. So to answer your question I like to have a couple of rounds through the barrel.

My gun. If it weren't for that I wouldn't have gotten anything. Lol Gonna have to say my sweatshirt. Tore the house a part a couple of years ago because I couldn't find it and it made the wife mad. She said to just use another sweatshirt....she just don't get it....

If I read the article correctly and the teens were retrieving the dog and yelled at the shooter and he still continued to shoot.......who here would have returned gunfire? I would have.

Looks good. Not overly cold and comfortable enough to sit all day. Will be up Friday thru Monday.

As long as I am in the woods with family/friends and not at work, I will take whatever mother nature has to offer. But I do like hunting in the snow.
-
Congrats to your husband.

Truth is.....I don't think Wooly could pull the trigger anymore. Its too much like his pet. Taking pictures of it and picking up stuff that it drops onto the ground. JK

Grow...I will throw a prayer your way tonight.

Was up this Sunday getting my spot ready and didn't see a tail. But that's ok because they don't need to come through until Nov. 15.

Texting is my way of communications with some of the guys in the hunting gang. However I usually wont text before 0900, unless I hear one of them shoot or if I shoot. We sit from dark to dark and it helps to pass some time.

Glad to hear you walked away.

Congrats on a great looking deer!! -
+1 to what WNY said.

I would have to agree with Turkeyfeather. Food is the biggest reason for not seeing grays. I have hunted a piece of land for close to 15 years. First year there, there were squirrels all over. The fruit/nut bearing trees rarely produce and now I have not seen a squirrel in nearly 2 years.

This is one thing that I never did. As others have mentioned you seem to run onto a neighboring property where you don't have permission. I wish you all the best of luck the rest of the season. I wish I could travel north and hunt again this weekend. I am already looking forward to next year.

Sorry Burmjohn. Lol but if it makes you feel any better I didn't know I would be coming home to an unhappy wife....
