I have a rental house. I rent it out by word of mouth. You have to be careful about not renting to people because of DSS or Section 8 of discrimination. I believe DSS is just the department that over sees the Section 8. Section 8 will inspect the property and make you fix anything that that don't approve. Also Section 8 will set the rent. I have seen way to many Section 8 houses in the Ithaca area, I would sell my property before I would go that route. I helped a landlord friend of mine out with a house (he has 50 houses or so), i was a 3 bedroom house with a attic. We filled a 20 yard roll off dumpster in a day just cleaning out all the junk and garage they left behind.

Well I am not in Erie County but Schuyler County. I will see how long it takes. I turned in my paper work on Jan10th and did my finger prints on the 11th. I also had one of my references tell me they received the paper work and sent it back already.

I believe the bank is giving up there rights to the land if they let it goto forclosure. Also a lien can only state on a piece of land for 5 years, and then the lean needs to get refiles. You only get a quick claim deed at a action and not a warranty deed.

Deer love them. Have you ever been to a u-pick pumpkin patch and seem the pumpkins that are all smashed up with deer tracks around them.

polaris winch problems
HectorBuckBuster replied to ants's topic in ATV's , UTV's, Dirtbikes & Snowmobiles
I would check around for a solenod. I bought brand new winch from harbir freight for $59.99 for one of my other 4 wheelers. I looked it over and I could use the parts from the and interchange them with my winch on my polaris. as both winchs have two wiring points on the winch. I was thinking about buying another one to convert my polaris over to a rocker switch on the handle bars to get rid of the big dial switch mounted on the front fender. -
Are to believe that deer is from deer season, unless there are not Yotes around. In my area there would be only bones left after a few days.

The Catholic Charities brings alot of NONE US Citizens to the US and sets them up with housing, and then gets them on Welfare and Food Stamps. So remember this when they ask for donations. Sorry we have alot of people that are US Citizens that need help first. We take better care of Illegal or people in other countries the out own US Citizens. -

The cash back part of the card needs the be done away with. Was at the grocery store one day lady in front of me has some stuff on the belt gets rang up came to $20 and some change, she then ask for 2 packs of Newports, they get rang up total goes to $42 and change. Next thing I know she swipes a EBT card, total goes down to $22 and change. Cashier tells her the total after that, she says oh, use the cash back, so the EBT card is swiped again lady inputs a pin number and bam total goes to ZERO. Yep EBT card paying for smokes. -
This guy is a great shot. Watch at th end of the video and just see the hogs laying all over the place. This looks like alot of fun though.

Don't need my hearing checked only my eyes with your post Elite Hunter. LOL Here is a alittle larger version Morris, an 82 year-old man, went to the doctor to get a physical. A few days later, the doctor saw Morris walking down the street with a gorgeous young woman on his arm. A couple of days later, the doctor spoke to Morris and said, 'You're really doing great, aren't you?' Morris replied, 'Just doing what you said, Doc: 'Get a hot mamma and be cheerful.'' The doctor said, 'I didn't say that.. I said, 'You've got a heart murmur; be careful.'

So New York strikes again
HectorBuckBuster replied to rtozer's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
It might have to due with the storage unit. Don't believe the TV hype of storage wars I found $10,000 in guns. I have been to storage unit auctions. One of the first rules is all fire arms are to be turned in and do not belong to the winning bidder of the unit. So I wonder if that may have somehting to do with them doing that. Sounds like you told them too much info. Word to the wise say as little as possible. A lawyer once told me don't run your mouth to me, just give me the basics. If I know every detail then I can not lie, but I am not lying if I don't know all the details. LOL -
Low canada geese numbers in Finger Lakes
HectorBuckBuster replied to gnomejoe's topic in Waterfowl Hunting

I think it has to be the weather. I seen tons of geese flying today in Seneca/Tompkins county. We have had a mild winter and geese seem to fly in nasty weather.I am sure maybe a small part of Montezuma was froze, but I still see ponds that are open, so that makes it hard to believe that the whole huge 100's of acres swamp is completely frozen and I bet very little of the North end of Cayuga lake is frozen yet. It may freeze a little more in the next 2 days. -

I think the problem with Cayuga Lake is Montezuma Swamp and the north end of lake are not frozen. -
So older cameras will not accept a 4GB cards.

I guess DOC you have never been goose hunting. The best hunting days are when it is snowing and wind is blowing to get them off the lake flying. You get in those blinds and lay down the cold is not all that bad.Watching the birds drop in over your head and then pop up and shoot them just as they lock in is awesome !!!

I have seen 10,000-20,000 snow geese flying and landing in Seneca County the last 2 weeks or so.

I would find a nice trail leading from the bedding area to the food source. With this wet weather its easy to find the best run trail. I would also find a area on the trail that is open so you can face the camera up the trail so the deer trip the trigger and you get a picture of a deer. I have Moultrie and Stealth cam's but have not found one that has a instant trigger. Most have 10-30 second delay, so if you get a fast moving deer you don't get a picture.

Looks like Livingston County has some DEC officers.

My buddy just sent me a picture of a buck he shot with a ML a few hours ago, and you can see that one horn fell off when the deer hit the ground after he shot it.
