Then again you can enlist to serve our country and perhaps die for it but not drink a beer legally. I think common sense should apply for when your child can shoot and what they should be shooting. My daughter has been shooting since the age of 4 and I'm completely happy with where she's gotten in the point of gun safety. We had an earlier discussion on this. Unfortunately you can't teach common sense to people.

Last night we spotted "lost turtle " signs strewn over a 2 mile stretch of road. Really ?! I think you could have asked immediate neighbors on either side. Thinking it's not some rare racing turtle fueled on Redbull. How far do they think it's going to travel !? This morning on our busiest road in the area (Transit rd) I saw a large golden lab strapped to the back of a motorcycle behind the driver wearing goggles ! Looking forward to seeing what's next !

Funny, I did inventory yesterday. 2 usually get the wife,daughter and I almost thru the year. 3 deer would be perfect. A little ground left, roast, few chops and steaks. Going to have to stretch it out to make it to next loading. A lot of the chops and steaks get cubed, dry rubbed, dab of jalapeno cream cheese and small piece of bacon toothpicked and put on smoker. Heavenly ! I've had quite a few people who've never had venison try it and ask for seconds and thirds. Hopefully this year 3 hit the freezer. Nothing like the feeling of a full freezer after season in anticipation of all the great eats ahead.

IMO it would be better to drive the 114 mile round trip and be sure that your gun is on then have bumped it and wound and miss a trophy. Take a fishing pole and hit some spots along the way. Take the gf/wife or friend and make the most of the 5 minutes you'll be sighting in with.
