  1. I'm planning to try making cheddar jalapeno sausage this weekend. I'll be using deer shoulder and pork belly. Any tips or advice you can share?
  2. I have the Cabela's Inferno's in a size 12 if anyone is interested, used maybe twice. i have a hard time with cold feet and these didn't work for me- probably should've ordered a size bigger.
  3. Not looking forward to the Cross Bronx Expressway. Leaving in a few hours.
  4. Oh man. I've been hoping to see you post something like this. i'm just down the road from you.
  5. Should be interesting to see if the name calling standard works in both directions.....
  6. Yes, 250 Shockwave. i'm gonna do exactly that. i gave it a really good cleaning last night- it felt pretty cruddy deep in the barrel. Thanks for the advice and help. Will let you know how it goes.
  7. The scope brand is Pine Ridge. I can see light through the flame channel. Not sure about the stock lugs- but nothing feels loose. From the info above, it looks like I should expect about a 17” drop. I’m at a loss.
  8. Not sure of the brand- it came with the gun when i bought it from Cabela's. No lead sled- shooting off sand bags.
  9. No, i shot 100 and then 200. But, i did notice that it was very difficult to see through the scope- much more so than usual. I'll bet you're right and there's something going on with the scope. i'm gonna give it a good lookover tonight.
  10. thanks very much. That's what i figured- no way a bullet could drop that much. But, as far as the scope mounts, it's shooting pretty consistently at 100. i would think that if it were a scope issue, i'd be having issues at any range, no? i'll take a look at it tonight. Could it just be that it needs a very thorough cleaning?
  11. I agree. Something isn’t right. After shooting a few shots at 100, i shot three times at 200. None of those shots hit paper. I aimed at the top edge of the target with the lowest reticle on the 4th shot and hit the bottom of the paper. i swabbed the barrel after every second shot. Could it just have been fouled and needed a good cleaning?
  12. I shoot a 50 cal TC Omega, using 100 grains of triple 7 and a 250 gr bullet. It shot a nice group at 100 yards at the range yesterday. At 200 yards, the bullet hits more than 36” lower. I had never tried sighting in beyond 100 before and didn’t expect such a huge drop between 100 and 200 yards. Is it normal to have such a dramatic drop between 100 and 200?
  13. Slow morning for me today in 4F. Except for the geese bombing into the freshly cut corn.
  14. I think you're misunderstanding. Those numbers are based on percentages. If an equal number of vaxxed and unvaxxed people are tested, the unvaxxed are coming back positive 7x more frequently.
  15. That's awesome. Are they Maine residents? I've been putting in for a tag for a few years. Hoping someday.
  16. it is not impossible to know. In fact, those numbers are available to anyone who wants to look. In our most recent briefing at work(Hospital), it was reported that an unvaccinated person is 7 times more likely to become infected than a vaccinated person.
  17. It takes time for a new clinician to learn not to waste time on people who can't be helped. Those that don't learn how to do it, burn out. Those that have learned how to do it can maintain professionalism, give the appropriate advice, and then roll their eyes at the 'know it all' patient on the way out of the room. Don't get me wrong. I'm not a fan of mandates. But, I get annoyed when people pretend that their personal decisions do not have an impact on others.
  18. I'm sure she does. Like I said, a fool who's a waste of her time.
  19. Your doctor knows you’re a fool and a waste of his time.
  20. You can’t really be this uninformed. Everyone knows that the vaccine does not 100% prevent a person from getting Covid. It does significantly reduce the risk of infection and it does significantly reduce the severity of illness if you do get infected. I think I’m done on this because I don’t honestly think you’re being serious.
  21. Everyone is at risk around the unvaccinated- high risk people are more at risk than the healthy. The point is that you are making a calculated risk for yourself by not getting vaccinated. And, you’re making that same calculated risk decision for the people you come into contact with.
  22. Are you serious? Anyone they come in contact with.
