A bunch of years ago, I had a six pointer come directly to me, about twelve yards, while I was pulling my bow up to my stand. He stood there for about a minute staring at my bow as it dangled from the rope. One of my hunting buddies was late that morning. Otherwise I would have been set up in plenty of time. Don't hunt with that guy anymore.

The hijacking of the term" Liberalism"

I've also tried to quit responding in any serious manner. Glad to see that very few seem to take the nonsense seriously. -

Opinions based on nothing but more opinion are worthless...... ....unless, of course, those opinions are similar to my own, in which case they will be considered facts. -

I see the trolls woke up hungry this morning. -
Lighten up, Francis.

Also a neighbor on the north shore of Suffolk. Most of my waterfowl hunting is in western Nassau.

Searching For Truth
virgil replied to Mr VJP's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Ok, VJP. I'm sure that site where you found your article is frequented mostly by people just like yourself- people interested in equality. Just seems to be an interesting place to look, considering that that organization is classified (by the SPLC anyway) as a white supremacist organization. I am glad to see that only the forum's most committed wingnuts chose to defend or support you on this thread. Growie, please. I usually ignore your posts because they're mostly incoherent ramblings. And, I'd hate for you to throw another fit and threaten/promise to abandon this site forever-again. But, you might want to check what kind of mushrooms you used in that omelette this morning. -

He's usually more careful not to be so obvious about the source of his rage. I honestly think he accidentally slipped up this time by using this source. Seriously, look up National Policy Institute. The introduction to it's article called 'The State of White America 2007' describes 'Brown vs The Board of Education, 1954' as possibly the worst decision in Supreme Court history. -

From the source of VJP's article, Radix Joural: Ownership and Mission: 'Both Radix and Radix Journal.com are owned and produced by the National Policy Institute and its publishing branch, Washington Summit Publishers. NPI, a tax-deductible coporation, is dedicated to the heritage, identity, and future of European people in the United States, and around the world'. It's interesting to see where some people look when 'searching for the truth'. -

Oh, and kudos, by the way, for using as your source Gregory Hood and Occidental Dissident, one of the most overtly and unapologetically racist sites on the web. Before you loonies start jumping up and down and using the 'he played the race card' defense, I strongly encourage you to do a little google search and look at the occidentaldissident site- especially the parts of the site that mock black history month; oh, and the 'color of crime' links are great, too. Wake up. It's 2015. -

'What's obvious to me is that you have a real prejudice against anyone and anything you disagree with'. Oh, I get it. You're intentionally being funny today. I usually laugh at most of what you post. So, I guess I missed the intentional humor. -

You just posted a statement that included the words 'we know with utter certainty......' ;and said that you wished everyone would read it and understand. Seems obvious that you agree with the statement and feel that others should as well. Or, was this just another trolling effort to rile up the resident extremists? And, by the way, I couldn't care less what you expect of me. -

It's interesting (for lack of a better word) that you expect everyone to accept as fact statements like 'we already know with utter certainty and by their own words that our political leaders are consciously seeking to destroy us', simply because you found someone who wrote those words. -
Why wouldn't you just use the SBE2? I use mine.

Brookhaven range on Long Island is excellent. They have a website.

Good luck to you First-Light. As others have said, I found myself in a similar position a few years ago and was lucky enough that it turned out for the best.

There a some good places in Nassau County not too far from the city. Point Lookout is one. But, without a boat and a dog, it's pretty much impossible. You might want to consider joining a waterfowlers club. There are loads of them and they might be a good way to make some connections.

If she's taking the course in March, why wouldn't she be hunting in May?
