    Agree with the above. If you don't have access to a walk-in cooler and aren't going to be cutting it up yourself, you need to get it to a processor immediately. You need to plan in advance- know where you'll be bringing it for processing beforehand.

    Maybe set up a trail cam over the area of the rebuilt rock wall. At least that way you'd know who it is.

    Have you done this hunt before? I looked into it a few years ago. Seemed like a bit of a hassle. Is the hunting good in there?

    I got mine yesterday at a Dick's on Long Island. No problem. Took about five minutes.

    Thanks for all the feedback, everyone. I'm going to go with it- don't really have a choice anyway. But, I will try to get at least one other estimate.

    Hi Culver. With the closed cell foam, no air space/ventilation is required. So, I probably only need about 7" of foam- it's about R7 per inch. Because it's closed cell, it's both the thermal break and air break. So, don't have to worry about condensation or venting. I guess I could go with bats and rigid foam. But, probably a lot more time and labor intensive for modest cost savings, considering the rigid foam, taping/caulking, fasteners, strapping,etc.

    It's R49 for the ceiling. And the 10" rafters only allow enough space for maybe 38. At least with the spray foam, I won't have condensation concerns. But, wow it's expensive.

    No ceiling covering yet. Planning TnG after insulation.

    It's a new camp. The ceiling is 2x10 rafters, and the ceiling space to be insulated is 840sf total. The cabin is 600sf.

    Thanks GMan. I know it's a much better product. My issue is that this is a hunting camp, not meant to be a year-round residence. But, I have to build to residential code.

    Anyone have experience with spray foam insulation and how much it should cost? Just learned that code requires R49 for the ceiling at my camp in Otsego county and that spray foam is my only option. And, it's shockingly expensive- at least the first quote I got was.

    Nice picture- except, almost none of the political threads are related to hunting. They're all the same: anti-liberal, anti-obama, anti-government, anti-anti, 'this country is going down the tubes'....broken records. If the mods are okay with it, that's their business. If we don't like it, we can ignore it; or if it bothers us enough, we can quit visiting the site. Having said that, i agree with the OP.

    I agree with a lot of the posts on this thread. A thoughtful debate can be interesting. And, those used to happen frequently on this site. But, it's become overun by a few overzealous and relentless posters. It's the same pattern every day- baiting/trolling, followed by rants and attacks, then days-long pissing matches.

    Really, what is the big deal? The only change being discussed is removing the flag from the capital building. All the 'good ole boys', historians, and antagonists can still fly the flag as they choose.

    Culver, I'm not understanding where you're going with this one- when one of my staff members is pregnant and can no longer work, they have to burn their accrued sick time, then go on disability.
