Great pictures. My son has his pre-school 'prom' next week- never even heard of that kind of thing before.

Good luck. My buddy and I fish the rip off Democrats Point in the summer.

Sore Thumb area?

Same could be said for seat belt laws, speed limits, soda laws, etc. etc.

Still not really understanding the original post. They are illegal to ride almost anywhere but on private property, no? So, why would anyone have a problem with what someone else does on their own land?

Thanks everyone for the feedback and offers for help. Gonna give it another shot in a week or two. Was a lot of fun hearing and seeing all those birds.

Novice question: Is it normal for birds to be traveling in flocks in the spring? I heard tons of gobbling and saw a lot of birds this weekend. But, the birds were in groups and didn't seem interested in responding to calls. We had a group of seven gobblers pass just out of range on Saturday, and saw twelve birds together yesterday- again, not interested in our calling.

I'm confused by this thread. Are you guys defending the shooter? Was a crime committed? Prior to the SAFE Act, would you not lose your guns if you committed a crime with a gun? The car comparison is always an interesting one. Are we saying that a person who intentionally runs down a pedestrian would not lose his driver's license? If I've misunderstood this thread, my apologies.

Awesome picture. Looks like your blind is in the right place. -
Was finally able to get in the woods yesterday for some scouting. I found two dead fawns. This is in 4F. Is anyone else seeing winter kill in the area?

You best wake up NOW!

I think there are some character issues/questions. I also think that a lot of the issues from the past that are being brought up have been resolved- and her haters refuse to accept the results of the various investigations into those issues. This is the standard for the politics of today. But, I think that the real fear of her comes from a complete lack of faith in the nominees from the other side. -

It seems to me that, if she's as corrupt and incompetent as you guys claim, she should be easy to defeat. -

It's amazing how this woman makes you guys tremble. -
The Islanders were on top of the division just a few weeks ago. Now, they're teetering on the edge of the playoffs. If the Rangers beat Ottawa tonight, the Isles will lock up a playoff spot. Or, if the Isles gain at least one point if their final two games, they're in. They would most likely not play the Rangers until at least the second round. The Isles owned the Rangers in the first few matchups this season. But, the Rangers have been unbeatable for the past two months.
-
If the Rangers win the cup, I'll need Valium, not a hot dog. I'm a die-hard Islander fan.

The NHL postseason is the same number of games and rounds as the NBA postseason. The importance of the regular season is evident in the importance of home ice/court advantage.
-
Winning the President's trophy guarantees you home ice throughout the playoffs. That's worth a lot more than your hotdog. Never understood why non-hockey fans like to piss on the sport.

I just threw up in my mouth.

What kind of pot or pan do you use to boil all that sap?
-
I was imagining tubing and collection tanks, etc all over the woods. Either way, sounds cool.

If she plans to live in the Long Island/NYC area after college, a St. John's degree will have a lot more influence on job prospects in this area. I know a lot of St. John's grads who work in finance, law, broadcasting, and business. There's a pretty strong network locally. I don't mean any disrespect to Cortland- but, I don't think a Cortland degree would be as valuable.
