Proud supporters of the flag can join the rally in support of the flag at the SC capital building on July 18th. The event is being planned and organized by the KKK. -

Interesting position, Steve. I wonder if other civil rights movements received similar reactions in the past. -

can somebody explain to me why people are even using the confederate flag as their avatar? To try to be provocative, to get attention- same reason for the titles of most of their threads. -
Congratulations and good luck to you.

I've never worried about the specific pattern I'm wearing. My bowhunting is done primarily from treestands. From up high, I don't think camo pattern makes much of a difference. During gun season, I'm wearing a blaze orange vest over my camo.

Ding ding ding ding ding!! Exactly why they're all tripping over themselves to get on the right side of this issue.

Culver, my comments didn't address what the flag represents- just that the State is endorsing what it represents by displaying the flag at government buildings. You can debate what it represents if you want to. But, if we're being honest, I think we all know what it represents.

It's curious that the 'Arkansas Travelers' would mispell their own name on their own promotional materials as displayed in post #64.

I haven't heard anyone claim that the flag was responsible for the shooting. And, as far as I know, nobody has suggested banning the flag altogether. But, removing the flag from government buildings removes the perception that the state endorses what that flag represents. If you want to display the flag at home, that should be your right to do so. I think that removing the flag from government buildings is a good thing.

I'm glad I have two boys.

Cameras on public land will be stolen. It's just a matter of when, not if.

Wow. That's a big price difference. I don't know much about it- maybe the price has a bit to do with the specific area as well as the depth. I got a couple of estimates and they were all pretty similar. Unless maybe the cost of materials has gone up a lot over the last couple of years.

I just had a well and septic done. My well cost a lot- over $10k. They had to go about 260 feet down. The price included everything- the well, the pressure tank, the pump, all the necessary wiring, etc. The septic was about $4k. This was in Otsego County.

Just paint a big 'X' on the ground and stand on it. From what i remember from childhood cartoons, one should appear from the sky shortly. Good luck. -
Could it have been a critter that got into the case?

http://www.kansascity.com/news/nation-world/article21384351.html Luckily, it seems that Mr. Dumond got his name spelled correctly when he spoke to the Associated Press about this subject yesterday. -

Oops. My bad. You say you know him- maybe you should just give him a call and straighten this thing out. I'm sure he'd like to know that his name is being mispelled in the press. -

In comment #7, I posted a link yesterday to an article that quotes the deputy sheriff of Deleware County, stating that he and his office have visited the site multiple times and have found no evidence to support the claims made about the people living there.
