You're splitting hairs, the ballistic advantages between the two and the 7mm08 is something most Ny hunters will never need/utilize. The -08 will have a little less recoil especially in a lightweight, small frame "women's" rifle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Saw 3 small bucks on my 5 mile drive to my SZ property. Woods are quiet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Makes sense, only duck hunting I have done was flooded timber in Tennessee with a buddy I was in the service with. His dad was the ducks unlimited chapter president and I don't know anything about hunting ducks but I have to imagine the spot we went was good because I was averaged about 1 for 10 still got my limits. Lol, so if a bdc isn't tailored per rifle and load exactly they can't be used? I don't have a scope with anything other than duplex German #4 on a hunting gun but that is a asinine statement, you been hanging out with Wolk? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

First 15 minutes and the last 15 minutes unless tracking or still hunting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My suggestion, go get him tonight if you can. With the rains tonight the blood will be all but gone. Gun shots kill different than bows shots 9 out of 10 if he's going to die he's already dead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Only hunted waterfowl a couple times and I can see where that would get old. Do you often have to hunt that close to others? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That bow has been around for 4 years don't you think if they could crank it that high they would have by now? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If it's a small flock go get em! If it's more than 5-7 sit tight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I thought your original question was a joke, sorry for the A hole response. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hunter b!tching about what other hunters do. Now I'm not talking about people complaining about litters or people stealing and that stuff but the guys who think everyone should hunt the way they do drives me crazy. The, you shouldn't shoot small bucks, that's too far of a shot, shouldn't shoot running deer, etc etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We have a bunch of threads on practicing with our bows for hours and hours but how much do you shoot your rifles/shotguns? Yesterday at work someone brought in a bunch of old hunting mags and there was an article in one of them talking about how little most hunters shoot. I have no idea how they got the data but the numbers they used were that 95% of hunters shoot less than 20 rounds a year. That seems really low to me. I know I shoot way more than most, I probably shoot around 1500 rounds a year from my hunting guns. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think with the current draw weight and minimum width laws in NY XBOWS have already hit their speed walls just as compounds have. Sure they might become lighter and quieter and easier to shoot but as far as performance I don't see how they can gain much. That being said I'm still against full inclusion and like it the way it is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have killed a bunch of turkeys with my bow but none with my long bow yet. I don't use blinds because I don't like calling turkeys. Best way to stalk turkeys is go slow and stay low, a leafy suit helps big time! And don't wear a ball cap for what ever reason turkeys seem to pick up head movement way more with a ball cap on, must have something to do with the brim. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How the hell can you consider crossbows a new starting point? They have been around 7000 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I still disagree, way more movements needed with a vertical bow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No time machine and I'm still in New York, there are actually two different zones in New York with two different sets of season dates. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Having hunted with a crossbow for 11 or 12 years now I can say that although there is movement with a crossbow it is exponentially less and you can/should be ready long before the target is in range. Try that with a verticals bow... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you can get out before that I would, after a day of rain deer will be moving early. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I know it's been said before but this thread solidifies that we have to do something like this in the other side of the state. Maybe if our schedules work out I can get Moog to come east and get him on a turkey this spring. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

HUNT! Saw 9 on my quick morning sit this morning. Deer will move in hard winds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I hunt them the same way I do in the spring. Cover ground, spot and stalk. I flock of turkey makes a lot of noise back when I had better hearing I would usually hear flocks way before I saw them. If u bust a couple birds don't worry they aren't like deer and they won't go far and the hunt is just beginning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When you interrupt CNS even the cheapest bullets will give you the same results. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have a 31.5" draw. And shoot as light of arrows as I can get to shoot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
