When I got stationed in NC i looked up the regs and noticed Xbows were legal so I ran out and bought the best one I could find a Horton and in 2006 it cost me a little over 1K$ at the time I was buying a new compound every year but compounds had slowed down on technology so I started buying a new Xbow one year and a compound the next. It's a fun toy, killed truck loads of deer with them down south and haven't really carried them much in NY or my Ohio lease but they are there if I want to use them. The one I bought a month ago was 1475$ with all the fixings "Mission sub1." Wife knows I bought it and doesn't give care as long as bills are paid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Big difference between compounds shooting 100yds and an Xbow shooting 100yds. You take 100 compound shooters and 100 Xbow shooters both with sights able to adjust to 100yd zero, I bet less than 5 compound shooters hit the target and over 50% of Xbow shooters hit the target" probably more depending on wind." 5 good acres is better than 100bad. The land determine what you need. My lease in Ohio is 190 acres and it hunts like 500 because of the way it's cut up. I own a 100acre wood lot 5 minutes from my house and it's hard for 3 guys to bow hunt because you're cutting each other off. With the other activities 20 would be as small as I would go.
