  1. If I do it I will have my tikka t3 300 rebored to .358. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I had read that article as well. That's actually written by the guy that will do the rebore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I'm with Grampy! Ata boy for Jeremy! Take him up on it and go hunting! I would like to think of this group as pretty tight knit group. His offer is certainly not a welfare type freebie he wants to give something that he doesn't need to someone he knows will use it and appreciate it. A couple years from now when you have your stuff together you can pass it on again to get someone in the woods. When you get it and get shooting let me know if you need anything I have boxes full of old sights and rests and what not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks for the info! 2900fps was a typo, 2800 seems to be the common number and that would be 150fps faster than my whelen and 300 more than my 358 carbines. The having to reload isn't really an issue as I reload for most of my rifles now. A 325wsm doesn't interest me because I have all the .358 and .308 bullets and I like to keep like components. 5. Silent predator is just as good as beagle wear and cheaper. I own both and prefer the silent predator. But my beagle wear is 10 years old and looks new. And the predator is new so time will tell. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. This is a real long shot because I'm nearly certain no on on here is familiar with this wildcat. I was recently talking with JES "the guy that has done a few barrel rebooring for me" about a project I had him do for me a 7600police in 308 with a 16.5" barrel that I had him rebore to 358win. I was telling him that I am becoming a bit of 35 nut as I have all of them now and he says you don't have a short mag yet. So he told me about the 350wsm wildcat and how well it worked in 18"-20" barrels well as you guys know that intrigued me! They are 300 or 325wsm brass necked up to .358. I have a tikka t3 in 300wsm that I don't think I have carried in the woods in the 10 years I've owned it and I don't really know why. But a 225gn .358 dia. bullet and right around 2900fps is pretty eye opening. I have a 350 rem that I recently bought and brass is nearly impossible to find and its in a right handed gun so I'll most likely never use it and don't have the money for a full custom 350 rem in left handed. But for 250$ I could have an awesome wildcat in a very neat cartridge. I guess my question is for anyone who has ever had a wildcat did u find it worth it? I know a deer will never know the difference between a 358 win or a 35 whelen or this 350wsm. But it will be a fun project and very cheap already owning the rifle. I also have nearly 500 300wsm brass that is becoming hard to find that I could form so that should last me my whole life. What do you guys think of my new crazy idea? 7. I have talked about it before I have a stand that is 3 foot from my neighbors stand that I sit in every opening day of southern zone. It's not in a spot that I would ever hunt but it keeps him honest. I actually kind of enjoy it now he's an old curmudgeon but brings me snacks and I always have something for him. He will shoot the first buck he sees and I'll help him drag it to his truck. This all started when I watched him shoot one out of my field opening morning so I was pissed and hung my stand in the next tree over and he was pissed but he hasn't shot anything on me since and now it's something we look forward to. 8. I don't consider you telling someone not to hunt your land being an Ahole. In the service we used to have a saying "tact" is the ability to tell someone to go to hell and have them enjoy the trip." It's all about how you tell him not to shoot onto your property. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Only having 25 acres there is a zero% chance I would be letting him shoot a deer on my property! How I was to get to that point from where you are now would depend on his actions when you meet him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. It was pouring out so I shot out the back door, it's 22yds. It finally slowed down enough to go get my arrow. I really need my 2nd insert of the year for my target. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. That's actually the main reason I switched to a single pin. When I was single and shot out 2 strings a year on a bow I had 7 or 8 pins and never had to think about it. Now that life has happened and while shooting in often thinking about the next job or the next VA appointment... Now I just slide the pin for the range in shooting and let her rip. But in the woods it's set for 0-35 and doesn't get moved. I shoot an HHA slider unless something completely crazy comes out I will shoot them until I can't pull a bow, I have an HHA On my Xbow as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Life sucks sometimes but you made the right choice! Toys are way more fun when you don't have payments on them! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. In my experience you have a rough road ahead. Best case is its the old landowners! If it was me and it is the neighbors I would lay it out that he can't shoot on your land but can absolutely retrieve an animal. If he takes this bad then the games will begin. He really will have the upper hand because as I understand it this won't be your primary residence, he will know when your there and when your not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. And that's why I use 1 pin, good shooting tho! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I pay nearly just over 5k a year and they could make it so I wouldn't have to pay any land taxes and I still would not allow public to hunt it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. There was a thread about it a couple months ago. It's extremely accurate even at stupid distances you can really shrink groups. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. My bow is sighted in for a Loli pop hold. My arrow impacts at 12oclock of my pin. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Shooting at farther distance is so much fun. I usually only shoot 1 shot a day inside 30yds and everything else is 50 and out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Haha, my daughter has one as well as the 522. I was on my way home from NC when I was in the service when my wife called and told me the ultra sound results that we were having a girl. I needed to pee and saw the gander sign so I swung in and they had them both sitting beside each other. Long story short I was a broke E3 with a kid on the way but got approved for my first and only credit card and I had 2 pink guns for my unborn daughter and another bill I didn't know how I was going to pay. That was nearly 10 years ago and she regularly shoots them both and it was all worth it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Is that the pink laminate with "shoot like a girl if you can" in the stock? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  22. First shot of the day after my evening 3 mile run. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. That's not bad at all. I have Never owned a Weatherby because they are to pretty for me to take a saw to but a under 8lb 300 is a great do all gun for sure. My tikka t3 300wsm is a nice light gun that I bought for a western hunt that fell through, it now has a nice n loud 18" barrel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. What's that weigh? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
