I have a 30 inch draw and pull 70lbs my arrows weigh 378 and shoot about 325fps. My arrows are on the light side. I shoot fixed blade heads "slick tricks" and have only had 1 arrow not exit, 35 yard quartering away shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When she was dropping them off they all got out of the van carrying iPads I told them to put them back in the car and they wouldn't need them today. She told me oh they'll get bored you better let them take them, I said no they won't need em. Not once did they ask for them or seem bored. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I just can't figure out how you only shot 50? That is some serious self control that I clearly lack. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's just sad, the kids had a blast! We ended the shooting with her oldest blowing up my last lb of tannerite with my AR, I don't think Tyson could have smacked the smile off his face. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Well today was one of the greatest days of my life, my cousin is in town and the other day when we were talking I told her to drop her kids off so her and her husband could have a day to them selves. She has 3 kids 2 boys and a girl oldest 11 youngest 5. We had a BLAST! We rode the wheelers, went swimming fished in the creek, shot bows and shot guns, basically the perfect day. Her kids had so much fun they live in a city and don't get to do these things. My daughter is 8 and she had so much fun with the kids as well. Apparently in the 10 years since I last seen my cousin a lot has changed. She came and picked them up and about 2 minutes later called my phone hysterical and screaming at me for allowing her kids to shoot guns and "hurt fish." After trying to figure out what she was screaming about for a couple minutes I asked her if she was bringing them over again tomorrow and she hung up. What the hell is wrong with people these days? Having tracked many mature deer in snow I will say that most of them will rub the front of a tree. I don't think I have ever tracked a mature buck that rubbed the back side of a tree. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think the biggest problem in the Xbow industry is this "package" concept and most company's will not sell bare bows. I just spent nearly 1000$ on a bow that has a scope I'll never use a quiver that will never be mounted and bolts I'll never shoot. I shot them all and got the bow I wanted but I payed a bunch of money for crap I won't use. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Difference is quality glass has lifetime guarantee and will last forever long after the Xbow is antiquated. Comparing a hawke to either of the mentioned optics is a stretch and a long one at that! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

With rain comes heavy air and heavy air holds scent because it takes longer for the scent to dissipate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That is one the most rugged optics on the planet, their glass has room for improvement in clarity but durability is 2nd to none! I watched one fall of the top of a truck doing 40mph on asphalt in Iraq and it held its zero. I was a range safety officer on Paris Island when the marine corps started having recruits qualify with them and only seen 1 fail in a year and a half. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't know about the smaller target but I do know when I'm hunting the adk's I travel as light as possible. My packing list is -life straw -leatherman -10ft piece of 550 cord "para cord" -extra small knife -granola bar -grunt call -baby wipes -gps -2 compass's This all fits nicely in the pockets of my vest. I don't think I carry 12lbs of stuff including my rifle and handgun. When I'm hunting around home I carry a back pack that weighs about 30lbs and has 15x more crap in it than I would ever use. If you are out there scouting now I wouldn't bother finding deer just concentrate on old sign "rubs" and terrain "natural funnels." A deers actions this time of year will vary greatly from what they will do in a few months when nuts start falling and leaves are turning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I guess I'm not alone. In my opinion for a deer hunter on the move there isn't a better option than a well designed vest, it just so happens the best designed vests I have found are for upland hunting. The new tenzing upland vest is one of the best designed I have found but it has velcro on some pockets and that's a no go for me. I'm still looking for he perfect setup but it will most likely require some custom work as usual. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As for trail cams every one of mine is 8-10ft off the ground and I check them by standing on the rack of the wheeler. I have gotten 10x's more pics doing this than I used to. We ride 3-5 times a week on r land and deer are used to it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I scout 2-3 times a week started last week. My "scouting" is usually me going to the edge of a field or one of my ladder stands with Binos and a 6 pack for the last hr of daylight. Not very intrusive and pretty darn relaxing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's like we have been friends for life the way you know me! That six inches of extra barrel can buy an extra bullet with today's scrap prices Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hmmm, in my research before purchasing mine I didn't come across any of those issues, hopefully they have gotten it figured out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What kind of failures did you see? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Stryker is owned by bowtech as is Excalibur. Failures will happen with every Xbow, there is a lot of stress on many parts. I bought a Stryker and I have about 200 shots on it now and no problems yet. In my opinion the quality of a product is second only to customer service and in my experience bowtech is second to none, time will tell because mine will be shot a lot more than the average person and if they are not a good product I will know. Camera isn't working on my iPhone but this is what it looks like other than scope, I have an hha with a Leupold on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Excaliburs and strykers it is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You can't make a Xbow post without it going to that so I figured I'd throw first punch. Seriously technology since I bought my old xcal 10 years ago to this thing is unbelievable. This thing is so fast and so quiet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well my new Stryker katana was delivered Thursday after a couple hundred shots I can say I'm in love with my it, fast, quiet and I can decock it like my old Excalibur. I hope NY never makes it full inclusion as I am completely happy with a 2 week season, and it splits up the seasons nicely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If someone needs more than 120gn's traveling 3000ft/s to kill a deer that persons needs not be trying to kill a deer! Now I much prefer a 220gn 35 cal bullet at about 2800ft/s but I don't them ink they kill any deader than a 7mm-08. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
