I really hope no one that makes decisions for the state reads these forums. Or maybe they do and if so that would explain a lot! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have a few that have been out for 5 or 6 years now, little faded but no worse for wear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's my exact reasoning for not carrying it in my wallet. I never carry my wallet in the woods because I mainly hunt big woods. If I loose my tags they are easy to get replaced. If I loose my wallet I'm in trouble! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hmmm interesting, I have never even considered carrying them in a wallet. Out of the mail box into a plastic bag with a couple pens and in the fanny pack. But then again I never carry my wallet in the woods either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Why would anyone carry their tags in their wallet? And not in your hunting stuff? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you have a lifetime have it put on drivers license. One of the very few good ideas NY has had in many years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm just hoping that when they make the early antlerless muzzleloader season that they make it for the last week of September, then I'll make the drive down to lend a helping hand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

reduce arrow length after reducing draw length?

No unless you are worried about 1/5 of a fps. Other than that than 8-10 grains it doesn't hurt anything. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 1 reply

They sell through Amazon and are usually cheaper on Amazon about the same prices as the membership prices through their site or catalog. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am far from a scientist or even remotely educated in the science behind it I'm simply going off an article I read a while back, as I posted earlier their reasoning behind it being more successful is because a buck has "wasted" his time on her when if she is dead before the rut the buck will be breeding a different doe. What's the difference button buck have been being killed since antler less tags were started. The Bucks loosing horns that's not very common in the the first week of January. The problem is NY is 20 years behind other states in deer management. There is a lot of speculations being thrown out by a lot of you guys but there are states whom have been doing these things effectively for years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You are correct but a buck has spent the time with her to breed her. If she's dead he will be with another doe. I wish I had the article that I read not long ago about a study in a few Midwest states and they found the most effective time to kill does for population control was after the rut for those reasons. Let's in more light for low light conditions. I hunt Ohio and its 1/2before and 1/2after sunrise and sunset. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Early season is not the time to try to take down numbers. A late December early Jan antler less firearms season would be the most effective time. And if Dec is really serious about it allow baiting for that season in the units that need the most control. A doe shot in Jan is really killing 2-3 deer where as one shot in sept or out is only killing 1. This also should be very well accepted by all hunters because your not screwing up anyone's season. That's what I shoot. But mine has a .029 pin and I use a peep that I drilled the hole out on so its far from a super accurate setup but works great for hunting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I love them but you are correct. I have found that when I buy a new one I set it on the table beside the couch and when I sit down for my nightly beer I'll just turn it back and forth and they will break right in. Still got it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

80 yds is a poke with my hunting setup especially with my huge drilled out peep. 80 is about as far as I can hold a decent group 8-10" is about my avg groups at that distance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is the 6 I shot last year 4 on 1 side and a crotch on the other. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hopefully you won't have to worry after all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would like to see deer take separated by season for states like Vermont, New Hampshire or Pennsylvania, states that don't allow baiting and have similarly diverse terrain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Have you shot it yet? I was down there on Thursday and was very unimpressed, what did you think? I think my expectations were to high because a guy I talked to said it was as good as a cabelas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

First shot of the day. A couple inches low but at 81yds and 20yds beyond my max i'm ok with that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

After reading this I went down and grabbed a muzzy MX3 of my bench "not what I shoot I shoot slick tricks but I had an mx3 practice head on my bench" screwed it on went outside shot a field point aimed at the arrow and shot the mx3. My fletch are not indexed with these because I shoot a different head and these are 3 blade and ST's are 4. This group was at 32 yards. I'm glad it wasn't a slick trick because I would have been out a 10$ arrow. Not trying to argue or start a fight but it is absolutely possible to make a bow shoot fixed blade broadheads shoot with field points. It's a long ways from easy and takes a ton of time.
