Yup, liver is by far my favorite part of a deer! Always have a ziplock in my pocket for a lover. Heart is good, deer I shoot around home I’ll keep the heart same with the tongue. If I’m back in the ADK’s I don’t keep the heart, usually don’t have room in my pocket. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If it was a regular occurrence there’d be one less turkey! I like having wildlife around but when beavers eat trees in my yard, foxes eat my chickens, raccoons take my sweet corn or when wood chucks eat my pumpkins or anytime I see a coyote. I tend to take matters into my own hands. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dog and I went for a walk this morning up in the ADK’s still snow on the ground so it wasn’t much of a scouting trip but it was nice to get out in the woods! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Self quarantined to the field today with No corona in sight out here and on a good note this is the earliest I can remember being able to roll dirt over in this field. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

If I was close to retirement I would be worried about a market crash. But being 15 yrs away I look at a market crash as a money makert! It’s going to be a buyers market for a while and we will rebound better than ever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Sucking Cuomo off for adding more government control is the most sickening thing I’ve read on this whole thread. That douche bag has been walking around with a raging hard-on and foaming at the mouth for a month just hoping he can spread his communist dream and make all his minions lives more miserable! This is his dream come true! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I’m not trying to be an ass but I’m in a pretty stable spot to weather this storm. I don’t foresee the state closing the prisons so other than unruly cons because they aren’t getting visits it will be business as normal. My daughter being out of school will suck for her but my mom is retired and lives next door so that will be a non issue as well. I’ve been thinking about a new truck for a few months now and if this things goes in for a couple months I’m imagining that dealers will be very hungry, I should be able to get a hell of a deal and wouldn’t be surprised if zero% financing comes back. I know that’s selfish of me to think about but you always have to be able to look at the bright sides. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I disagree, the social structure still needs to be there. It still exists it’s just different than when we were kids. As the parent of a 12yr old I would fight the change you’re describing tooth and nail! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Problem is school is way more than an education. The social aspect is more important in child development than than the education. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I started yesterday, I’ll be hiking different places in the ADK’s looking for sign and sheds. As the snow melts it showed everything that was there in November just the way it was left. From now until I can get my boat in and start salmon fishing I’ll be scouting every day off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yea, diesel stores a long time fine. That’s in a steel barrel. I have it in 4 boat gas caddy’s so every few months I’ll put the gas in a truck or the boat. I use a stabilizer so it should be good for a couple years but I try to rotate it every 6 months. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

This whole tho g is starting to get crazy. I was supposed to leave next week for a Caribbean cruise that got canceled. Stores around here aren’t emptied out like some of these pictures but I’m sure they will be. My question is how are some people so I’ll prepared for an emergency? I’m far from a preper but I have some things setup so I can thrive in all but the worst conditions. I have backup power source, backup refrigeration, backup power. plenty of venison and fish as well as canned veggies. 100 gallons of gas and 50 gallons of diesel fuel stored, more than enough ammo and some cash readily available. None of this was setup today or yesterday, it’s stuff I have ready all the time. I just don’t understand how others can be so ignorant and oblivious to the fact that shit can happen and you can be in big trouble in a hurry! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
This winter the local Stihl shot was going out of business and I had been eyeing one of these for a while and with the discount I couldn’t resist. I got it with the hedge trimmer, chainsaw, Roto tiller, brush blade and regular weed walker head. The hedge trimmer is absolutely perfect perfect for trimming shooting lanes and reclaiming grown in trails. This would have taken forever with a chain saw the way I have done it for years. Now I’ll just push all the brush away with the tractor and I’ll be able to drive my truck down what was a runway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What's your Bonehead moments while turkey hunting.

2004 or 5 opening day I was hunting with a buddy and we were sitting in a bar gap in a hedgerow between 2 fields. Had a a group of hens in one field and a Tom in the other. I told my buddy not to shoot because if he came through the bar gap I was going to grab him. Well he did just that and when I tried holding holding up my end of the bargain all hell broke out. I dove for him and got his neck in one hand and a wing in the other. Long story short he got away and I ended up on the ER with a big gash in my chest and a torn shoulder. Once he got away I was yelling for my buddy to shoot him but he was too busy rolling around on the ground laughing. Hands down one of the dumbest things I’ve done in my life. I just wish it was in the cell phone era because it would have got a lot of views on YouTube. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Never used that one but have 5 or 6 shimano stradic FJ reals that were in the 250$ range and they’re my favorite reels. Yes you absolutely can tell a difference between it and a 50$ reel, is it a 200$ difference? I guess that’s up to the individual. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
