12/5 am 21 Cold and loud. Sat for 2.5 hours and said no more!!

We had deer all over last evening I could not get a clear shot on any My bro shot at a doe but all we had was hair so after my first watch I will see what I can find It is cold cold cold 20 feels like 8 with chill

Lol I got bottom wicking two thermals huntin pants then wool bibs on today. Top 6 layers. Gloves, 2 neck gators two fleece hats and hand muff!

I got 2 on the freezer! Jumped 2 coming out early to go to Xmas party rrrrrrr had 7-8 hours on stand today

Just had 3 flat tops go by, could not sort out which was adult before they swung up out of safe shot direction Walked right under bros stand he was gonna sit in but rain scared him

12/4 pm Out back in the far stand for 1.5 hours. I hit a moose on a track going in. Had to be 3.25 inches long, jeesh would like to run into the deer that left those! Quiet till about 4:15 or so and see a small deer run across out front at 75 yards, then I see it run back a ways? Then I see a couple more way out. Looked like a doe and 2 or 3 fawns. Too far out and headed for the fields down the road.

Exactly! That said we have always done head up and I find that the easiest way to skin and cut up. I guess it is just how you learned.

12/4 am 32 Sat for two hours in the tower. Man it felt colder. The wind was sharp!! I have not seen a deer in a few days. I think gun season has kicked in!! lol Been hoping to maybe luck into a cruising buck looking for a second month doe.

Best advise I can give is do not do drives with anyone you do not completely trust and someone needs to be in charge. If you are just starting keep it safe and simple. Maybe 2 pushers and 3 watchers. Make rule watchers do not shoot into drive but wait till deer is past or under if elevated. A couple guys in climbers would make super watchers. Make sure pushers Do Not shoot unless towards an unwatched side or behind. And never assume other hunters are not around. Draw your drives out ahead of time. Plan. Make sure watchers are dressed for a long sit if it is a long drive.

Says 32 but sure feels colder this morning. Got the ML out sitting in the tower hoping to catch a buck cruising. It's crunchy so nothing sneaking by!

12/3 am 41 Man there were a bunch of tracks on the lower end going in this morn. I header to the farther end and ran outa tracks. I did see a couple single sets with good sized tracks. Maybe some bucks cruising for any second time does. Sat for couple hours it was a super morning but I think the deer were pooped from last night!
