    Drove the 45 minutes to meet a couple of the boys. Get to the last big hill and into the fog. Sat till 7:20 in the truck till it lifted enough to be safe. It a beaut of a morning out now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I have never worried about leaving a gut pile near a stand for this reason. I have never seen a deer alert due to one. Multiple times have shot deer near one and have seen deer go right up and smell them. Attractant maybe a stretch but they certainly are not alarmed by them.

    Ha, I was looking for Bisquick to make those sausage and cheddar muffins and did not have any but I found a 3 year old box of those Red Lobsta mix above. It's only a couple years past the best used by date...what could go wrong!! Guess I will find out this weekend!

    The deer were enjoying the first real night of snow. As I said prior tracks all over out back. One almost came up to the back door of the house. I also had fox tracks all over. I pulled just the backyard cam and had deer at 8:26pm, 1:42am, 3:05am and 3:42 am. Moving all night. This morning was expectedly a dud!

    I guess so!! We got 2 down in FL last year and I was impressed with the meat quality of the eater sized ones, 50-100 pounds. They say the big ones are no good but I wonder how sugar cane pigs taste like??!! You Buddy like new friends lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Ended up seeing a 7-8 point sneaking behind me down in the creek bottom. It started snowing pretty good. Then had 7 hen turkeys stroll and scratch by. Got maybe an inch. Would have loved to make a day of it but friggin work lol. I will be sneaking back out I hope! I got a conf call at 4 I’ll just hit the tower and close the windows! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    not sure how i like this one..... set conditions under which hunters can receive some form of compensation for killing deer and can sell venison (ECL § 11-0917). Don't tease me that the dawn and dusk would actually be changed to make sense!

    I keep the deer dry and between 34-44 degrees. If you can do that you can let it sit till Thursday no problem. I have not done in an ice cooler but I would think it is most important to keep deer and melted ice separate. Moisture on the meat is bad.

    I only hunted a few afternoons over the last few days. I jumped a couple one day. I am tagged out in my private spots and public local is wearing out on me lol. Yesterday I had a whole family 30 minutes before last light hiking all over by me screaming, crying, Don't get me wrong I am glad they are out enjoying nature and life. It's just I thought I moved far enough of the beaten path to miss most of that. The day before I had two mountain bikers lol. Maybe snow on one of the next two mornings for a bit....
