There seems to be a bit of confusion in the title. A portable generator is either one with a handle, that can easily be carried, or one that can easily be moved around from one job site to another to run tools and a compressor. That's not what you're talking about.

Dana Loesch interviews a teacher (voice disguised) who knows some things about the shooting at the Parkland, FL shooting, and the security recommendations made just two months before it happened which may have prevented or at least alleviated the massacre. Administrative and bureaucratic failure all the way around.

A soak in Coke-Cola will take a lot of it off, then some coarse steel wool with some fresh Coke-Cola or WD40 and elbow grease.

It will be interesting to see exactly how they define "assault weapon" in the context of this law since anything used to assault someone is technically an "assault weapon". Would I have to have my hands or feet amputated and surrender them as well? Would I have to get rid of my kitchen knives? Or my chainsaws? Or my vehicle...?

Enjoy your new hobby, grampy! It's very relaxing and satisfying.

And people claim votes can't be bought. If you can 'buy' someone to not vote, it's the same as buying a vote. Back on topic...this woman was clearly a nutcase, and there were ample warnings from her family that she seemed ready to go off. -
I believe it was Limbaugh who coined the nickname: 'camera' Hogg.

You shouldn't have given me the answer. I remember watching Clinton give the speech, and Obama gave a similar speech just a few years ago. It's what they say when they're in power. Now that they aren't in power and are rapidly losing their voting base they need a fix. It's very similar to the LBJ approach from the 1960's. It's called vote farming.

I agree with you. But then why is the response from the Left to take away guns and repeal the 2A?

You certainly are the consummate Cultural Marxist, aren't you. Carry on.

No idea. But she graduated from both Dartmouth College and UVA Law School and one of her early jobs was as a clerk for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, after working in the Reagan White House.

The only thing I've ever seen that can take off with it's nose straight down and fly straight up. Weird little birds.

philoshop replied to Five Seasons's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
The U.S Constitution does not grant rights. It protects rights from government usurpation. This is where so many on the left, especially the younger ones, get off the rails. They seem to think that by destroying the Constitution they can magically make guns disappear. That's simply not the case. -
Laura Ingraham wrote an entire book entitled "Shut Up and Sing" over a decade ago about musicians using the stage to preach politics rather than just doing their job of entertaining. She 're-booted' that sentiment because now we have sports entertainers doing the same thing. She offered whoever it was who felt 'dissed' as much time as he wanted on her show to debate with her the relative benefits of entertainment professionals using their 'stage' for politics. The guy hasn't taken her up on the offer. No real surprise there. "Shut up and Sing"..."Shut up and Dribble"...how about just shut up and be the entertainer I'm paying to see without your useless and often baseless political commentary?

One more thing, grampy, on the basics. A sturdy bench will make your life easier. There's nothing as frustrating as having to use one hand to keep the bench upright. The .270 is not a 'large' round, per se, but the reforming process will go smoother if the bench isn't moving around. At the very least add some sandbag weights to legs of a light bench if you go that route.

All good points Culvercreek. I would add one more, and I believe I already mentioned it somewhere on this thread. My mentor from 40 years ago said one thing to me several times until it stuck, "Go BUY the book, and then go by the book." The accumulated knowledge in the manuals is absolutely your best resource. Edit: I guess you kind of said that in your post. I just like that saying from my mentor.

You'll probably find that it's almost as much fun crafting custom ammo as it is shooting it. At least on crappy weather days.

I once had a primer go off while being seated. The tool was pointed away from my face so there were no problem there, but it definitely rang my ears in my small reloading space. I've worn muffs since then because they're always close by anyway and they're pretty easy to grab and wear. They also keep out distractions, to an extent.

Have a great day man!! It's my brother's birthday as well.

Happy Easter everyone!

There was nothing "simplistic" about this. The plan was carefully formed and executed. The problem is that schools produce a lot of bad kids. The solution from the highest echelons of government at the federal, state, and local levels was/is to not report the bad kids. It doesn't make the problem go away, but it makes certain people feel that it's no longer their problem. This will happen again.

This is very similar to the problem with illegal alien criminals committing rapes and murders and ... whatever... I don't know how many times I've heard Leftist commentators say that the solution is to make the illegal aliens legal. Give them amnesty. That will reduce 'illegal' alien criminal offenses because they'll no longer be illegal. The offenses will still happen, of course, but they won't be illegal alien offenses. See where I'm going? Twisted logic. It's a big game of "hide the pickle". Because the Broward County school system stopped reporting criminal activity perpetrated by their students, they were rewarded with cash. The activity didn't stop, but the reporting of it did. as a result 17 people were massacred. A similar thing happened in the Trayvon Martin case. Martin was a well known thief and thug, but the reports never said anything about that. Hide the pickle.

This whole tragedy was caused by Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett, and Eric Holder deciding that the best way to keep bad kids out of prison was to not allow law enforcement to put them on the radar to begin with. The local school board and sheriff's office agreed. The school would get extra funding for not having a 'school to prison' pipeline, and the local sheriff would be re-elected. A great plan, until you have a mentally deranged maniac in the system who sincerely wants to kill people. The sheriff and the entire consenting school board should be in jail over this. Obama, Jarrett and Holder should be in jail over this. Targeting the NRA is a ruse, and some people just slurp it up like jello.

Biz, I thought the first pic was onion rings, after a second drool I'm guessing now they're calimari rings?
