I'm picturing the Monty Python gang standing on opposite sides of the Korean DMZ with crossbows. And laughing my butt off. Then Benny Hill rides in to lead the charge of the brigade to storm the...whatever the North Koreans have.

How did the crossbow talk go? We really need a ROFL icon. Thanks Biz, best laugh of the day so far.

Some day you'll do the same thing to the little guy in your avatar. It's called life. Enjoy every single bit of it.

That would be an Italian handy sandwich. A hollowed out chunk of bread with meat and cheese inside. You can keep one in your pocket for most of the day without embarrassment. Eat when hungry. Very popular on the farm where I grew up. Guaranteed to scare the hell outta most citizens today... I love it.

White house menu for the Macron visit. I think President Trump had a well- done steak with ketchup and an order of fries. Two scoops of ice cream for dessert. Don't quote me.

Recommendations on a tandem or single fishing kayak

I do have several pics but nothing on my current computer. And I no longer have any way to easily get photos onto the computer and then on to the internet. I'll see if my brother and sister-in-law can help. Take some photos with the smart-phone and then e-mail them to me... that sort of thing. It's a sweet little boat. Cove-and-bead strip built, because that's what I did. A rather artistic variety of wood strips with a hand-built caned seat and backrest. Use a kayak paddle for propulsion. If I'm not mistaken it was headed to Martha Stewart just before she ended up in prison. I had built one for her brother. He and I were friends and hunting/hiking buddies, and I think he was going to give it to her as a gift....Anyway... -
I have several friends with farm machinery, some of them actually farmers, who swear to the effectiveness of simple dryer sheets as a rodent deterrent. We've been using them for years, and they work. And my tractor smells extra laundry-fresh every day until it belches diesel exhaust. I prefer the smell of diesel exhaust to fabric softener, but that's just me. Add in a little two-stroke chainsaw pre-mix and it makes my pants feel tight.

Recommendations on a tandem or single fishing kayak

When you get your popper backcast from a flyrod picked up by a hefty smallmouth who spins you and your boat around, you're doing alright. Lots of fun. I still have one of those small canoes if anyone is interested. It fell from it's ceiling hooks and has a small repairable hole in the hull. I'm open to offers. -

I used to build kayaks and canoes. They're hard to fish from unless you're very familiar with the waters. Casting and whatnot is no problem, you just can't see very much from them. One of the canoes I used to build was a single-seater just over 11 feet long and weighed about 20 pounds. I sold a bunch of them to people who carried them out to remote farm ponds they were already familiar with. I don't think anything is more fun than catching a bunch of big bluegills or perch from a small canoe. Those little guys will actually drag you around the pond for a while. -
Thanks for the input folks! I appreciate it.

It will come down to how well the anti's are able to "judge shop' the case to get the verdict they want. There is a very specific reason why more than 400 appointments to federal appellate and district judicial seats made by Trump are being stonewalled in Congress. An issue like this is just one of them. The Democrats cannot afford to have a fair and impartial Justice system.

Nice saw choice, Larry!

I'm glad my Dad is more interested in jigsaw puzzles and yard work. Although he's expressed interest in in a wood-wrorking shop, which is what I used to do. As much as I love him, he would not do well in a shop full of machines that can sever body parts. Do what you need to do for your Dad, my friend. You only get one.

I took the easy way out and bought a house near a a couple who raises chickens. They're nice people and they give me free eggs and the occasional chicken dinner. In exchange I keep their tractors running and their barn doors working. Psst, the IRS doesn't know about this arrangement, so please don't tell anyone. :-]

I basically grew up in my grandparent's house. The stairway to the second floor had meat hanging in it all the time. Chickens, various sausages, slabs of beef, pork and lamb... I don't remember them owning a refrigerator until the late 1960's. None of us ever died from food poisoning. There was work to do on the farm, you're not allowed to die.

They do fly that plane almost every year, weather permitting. It's something to see. Even with the updated and mandatory FAA regs and modifications to the plane it's still a hoot. Glenn Curtiss wasn't a desk jockey looking for safe spaces to hide in. It would be nice if more young people felt that way.

No offense, but it's not the Curtis Wright museum. It's the Glenn Curtiss Museum. You're thinking of a song by maybe the Allman Brothers.

I write political commentary and opinion for the internet and various news sources. It's fun to have something to do, and I don't much care for jigsaw puzzles. The downside is that I can't see for crap any more and even walking out to my backyard range is becoming difficult. Neither of which is really work related. I didn't choose to leave the construction industry until there was no other option.

I spend 18 to 20 hours a day in front of a computer for work, my phone doesn't need to add to that. The phone just needs to be able to send and receive calls and store the numbers that I want. Texting would be nice because people are finding it increasingly difficult to pull themselves away from whatever they're doing to actually answer the phone. I'm getting cranky in my dotage. Thanks for the help corydd7.

For over twenty years my cell phone was indispensable because of the construction business I was in. 30 to 40 calls a day from or to suppliers and subcontractors. Now...not so much. I talk to family and friends once or twice a week and pay $50 a month for the privilege. It seems stupid. And my old flip-phone has three characters per button, so texting is almost impossible. At least for me. It's just not my world. Tracphone, Consumer Cellular, I'm looking at others. And I need a new phone. Any suggestions?

I think you have to directly spray the mice to get that effect. I'll look into it. Or not.
