I personally think the True Talker by Hunters Specialties is a much better call and can do all the same stuff... I am a bit biased though... I helped get the call started back in the 90's... a very good friend of mine invented it and sold it to HS Strut... I really do however think its the best call on the market.

Actually Doc.. Rick Santorum.. has a plan for bringing manufacturing back to the US... go to his website.. I believe it is there.. he spoke of it at at the last few GOP debates... He isn't my guy, but he's a close 2nd... and he has some good ideas about what you were talking about.

You actually do need protein to build muscle... Muscles are made primarily from protein building blocks (amino acids)... when working out, muscles break down and are rebuilt using these proteins which aid in the rejuvination process.. that is how muscles grow. It is true that OVER consumption of protein can be very dangerous.. but protein is absolutely necessary to build muscle. You cannot build muscle without it.

I think thats kinda my point as well... I spent one season at my sons bedside in the hospital when he was battling leukemia at 14 years old... it kinda put things in perspective for me as to what bad really is... there is nothing about deer season that could ever be bad after that... in fact, there are many things now that really just don't seem as bad or as stressful as they once were... given much worse things that could happen in life. I think "disappointing season" might be a better term, or even "below expectation" but certainly not bad.

And lots of water... which makes up most of your muscle.

If getting a deer or not getting a deer were the criteria for a good or bad deer season I think I would quit hunting... some of my best hunting seasons didn't involve killing a deer at all. Although I agree that filling a tag can make a good season even better... I personally don't believe there is such a thing as a bad hunting season.

I use my Rhinehart with broad heads occasionally. only a few arrows at a time.. You're right though.. the targets are a bit too costly to use on a regular basis for broadheads... The Morrell Block has a broadhead target that I have heard is really good and holds up well

I have had experiences with both a gun and a knife being pulled on me.. in both cases I did not have my pistol, but disarmed both men without being hurt myself... can't say the same for the other guys. I wouldn't recommend trying to disarm a gunman in most instances.. especially if you can escape some other way without getting shot.. I didn't have much choice and truly believed he was going to shoot me and just reacted... 28 years of martial arts helped... I truly hope i never have to use a weapon on another human being.

Ok truthfully my real beef is that you are waffling back and forth about it with no real conviction... you like it .. you don't like it.. it's ok... it's not ok.. you're all over the map... Nobody forced you to do anything... thats just how you saw it... If I was in your shoes and believed so strongly about not saying the pledge .. I wouldn't... and nobody could make me... if I let them force me.. then I guess I really didn't believe as strongly about it as I thought and was just be trying to get attention... or I just wasn't a strong enough person inside to be able to stnd up for what I believed in.. especially when my 1st amendment rights were being violated. I like being narrow minded... I don't get as confused as someone like you that has such a broad concept of things that you can't get it all straight in your head. I like black and white.. gray is for lost souls that still haven't found their way..

I agree Shawnhu that it should not be mandatory to have to say the pledge... and I believe according to the law it can not be made mandatory.. even in school... and I can't believe that standing and not saying it was not an option... and for the record I'm pretty sure I don't "represent a lot of guys on here"... I'm even more sure that many of the guys would take great offense to you saying that "I" represent them.. right fellas???

The country WAS NOT FOUNDED on the principles of "church and state"... FREEDOM is what the first amendment is about not separation... this country was founded on freedom.. freedom from oppression by a tyranic government... the whole revolution is about freedom... the entire Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights is all about freedom... you have the right not to say the pledge if you don't want to.. or use the term God... but you do not have the right to take away the majorities freedom to say it. It has gotten to the point where if one person isn't ok with something.. everyone else loses their freedom to do or say it.

Just because I believe that you have the right not to say the pledge.. doesn't mean I won't take offense to it.. I take great offense to that lack of respect for the country and our flag.. and make no apologies for it.

You don't think our country is worth pledging allegence to? I'm guessing... you probably were absent for the history class where they teach you about all the men and women that gave their lives to make sure you don't have to. I think that anyone that understands the sacrifice people have made for you to have that freedom at all.... would be more than happy to pledge an allegence to the flag and the republic for which it stands... I could be wrong... maybe your allegence is to someone or something else... all this freedom you take for granted is just a bunch of crap anyway huh?
