LOL.. Can't be as bad as running a tractor all summer long... even if the guy burned for a few days
-
Glad you liked it... That was from my friends wife.. it is the only way she'll eat venison.
-
Not to mention.. a deer will notice the entire blind way before he notices you inside it through the open window... he would need to be close probably before it would even spark his interst,,, by then I would hope he would have a bullet in him.
-
you could always put orange on the deer..lol

I have a Rhinehart 3D buck target... arrows pull out easy and it lasts foreever... its kinda like those self sealing dartboards.. the only thing that matters to me when shooting my bow is being able to hit the kill zone on a whitetail when the time comes... I want to practice on the most realistic object as possible to a whitetail deer... the block targets and such might be great for sighting in... but nothing takes the place of shooting at a 3D target of the animal you're hunting in my opinion...

There would be nothing wrong with reading the version easiest for you to understand first, then go back and read the KJV... you will follow the KJV much better then... the message is still the same... the fact that you have opened yourself to reading it is most important..., however you receive it's message.

I have seen guys use electrical tape over end of their muzzleloader to keep it dry but never duct tape.

-

Why you should be an NRA member
nyantler replied to Mr VJP's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Not liking everything about the NRA is really no excuse for not belonging to the bigger fighter for our 2nd amendment right. There are those that might think that the NRA isn't right for you... but the NRA fights for your 2nd ammendment right regardless of whether you're a member or not... regardless if you own a gun or not... regardless if you even like guns or not... fighting to preserve a constitutional right... how is that not right for anyone? -
Burt nice job on that mount!!

I went to a function where they were promoting the green egg.. they cooked everything from stew to elk steaks on the thing... they smoke some wild boar... they even baked some kind of cake like desert.. everything was terrific... the price is a bit steep I think.. although it is pretty versatile.. you can get the thing to 1200 degrees I was told in no time at all... all in all I was pretty impressed.

2012 Election
nyantler replied to ELMER J. FUDD's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I like Newt... don't really care about his personal past or what others say about him.. I listen to him talk and he is the most educated of the bunch when it comes to government..and is the only candidate that ever actually got something accomplished in Washington.. as Speaker... he balanced the budget 4 years in a row... the only time in the last 50+ years that has been done... if you get a chance you should read his "Contract for America"... some of its policies and tax cuts are still in place today and led to the countries surplus in the late 90's... one being the Welfare Reform Act that he finally got Clinton to sign after he had vetoed it twice... No candidate will be the "end all, be all" but he is the only one of the candidates that ever had any success making actual positve changes in government that still exist today... he will make Obama look like a rank amateur in a policy debate and unearth his incompetence as a leader. Just my peronal take on things. -
Yeah .. you have to see the whole video not just the viral short version on you tube... the cop did nothing wrong...

Northwind is a pretty bow.. they always look odd to me with the reverse handle.. looks like they are strung backwords ... do they feel much different to shoot?.. I've never tried one.

It was not intended as just protection from an opressor that no longer exists, but as protection from future opressors as well... and as long as there are people on this earth and governments overseeing those people.. there will always be the potential to have to protect oneself against tyranny... the subject of slavery and womens rights always come up as an argument when an otherwise intelligent argument can't be found... that is apples and oranges and you know it... but always a nice attempt... the subject of slavery and womans rights were not mentioned in the Bill of rights and was adjusted at a later date and was certainly not a position held by all at the time... taking away one of the original ammendments to the Bill of rights is unprecedented

To add to that.. you pay for each bid whether you win the bid or not.... so if you bid 10 times on an item and don't win the item you owe $6... more like gambling...lol

8 foot and 500 pound hairy animal with big feet?? Sounds like my sister in-law!!
-
Geez.. Larry I'm not that old..LOL

try using a sharp cheese or nutmeg type grater... that will shave off thin pieces (almost pulp like).. that worksbetter in the blender.. not sure what the ingredients are, but I love that stuff too.. I always ask for extra packets to bring home and use on sandwiches... I have a little stockpile in the frig from the handfuls I have brought home from Arby's.. love it with a cold meatloaf sandwich!!
-
That says a lot about your character.. and the "do as..." rule is a good one to follow... good for you

That 6" kabar is a monster! I don't think it's old enough for it to be my Dad's Marine Corp knife... I'm thinking maybe 1970's... but I was excited to find it!! Gotta buy a sheath for it though.
