wouldn't have kept me from voting that day... I would have already cast my ballot by the time they caught it... and if I wasn't who I said I was they wouldn't have remembered what I looked like...damage already done... all avoided by ID's at the voting booth

Yeah I know you aren't one of the complainers... but I stand by what I said... at least you had the guts to be truthful about not voting and give a reason why? I still don't understand it... but I can respect your guts to not hide from it. But based on the fact that you didn't vote and fight to help your fellow gun owners... I wouldn't want to be trapped in a fox hole with you... can't trust a man that won't stand with his fellow gun owners.

That is your right... but I promise I will give you crap every time you so much as mention an issue that bothers you about the Safe Act, or taxes etc.... in fact I'll save myself the trouble and just tell you to shut up now... you had your chance to complain yesterday with a vote... if you aren't part of the solution you are part of the problem. To make sure you're the person signing your name at that voting station... remember laws aren't just made to solve a current problem.. they are also made to combat a future problem. With the large amount of illegals in the country and those coming in every day and with the current surge of politicians sucking up to them... it is a great idea to avoid any future problems. I remember back when I registered... I filled out the registration form off to the side with nobody present... when I handed it in nobody even checked to see my license or my SS card to make sure the numbers were real.

It would be interesting to know how many members of this forum did not vote and why... I bet its a majority.

I respectfully disagree.. with only about 40% of the population having voted... this was a case where if every gun owner had gotten out to vote there might have been a different result...

With only around 40% of the population voting... many gun owners didn't even cast a ballot... some folks just don't think it's important enough... yet I'm sure there will be those that didn't take the time to vote that will be here complaining about the next big push against gun owners in NY... I know its their right NOT to vote.. just like its my right to say "If you couldn't take the time to vote, then SHUT UP... I don't want to hear it."

If you are going to be hunting from a stationary position... up in the air is always best for visibility... I like the ground, but I'm seldom stationary and I'm kind of a weirdo...

absolutely not for me... I don't even want to see trail cam pics ... I like the challenge of looking for a big buck during the season... the tougher the hunt the better I like it...

Too many hunters listen to anecdotal opinions by hunters that just don't seem to be seeing the amount of deer they use to... are there problem areas where coyotes have a greater impact on the wild life in that area? Yeah, could be. But the rampant myth that coyotes are ravaging the deer herds in NY state is... just that... a myth. No hunting season should be regulated based on anecdotal information giving by deer hunters... most deer hunters don't have enough sense to get out of the rain let alone understand the complexity of reducing natural predation without affecting the entire ecosystem in a habitat... funny too how if the so called coyote "problem" is so important to deer hunters why are most of them NOT out hunting them hard during the coyote season... deer hunters have been bitching and complaining all across the state about the coyotes for years and years... yet we still have a deer population that we can't keep up with... the fact that hunters aren't seeing as many deer says way more about the hunters than it does about the affect of coyotes on the herd. I'm thinking the coyote hunters will start getting pissed when they're not seeing the coyotes they use to because the deer hunters killed them all off
