Try to get some decent ones tonight.

Iron sites or scope for deer hunting when and which you like better
covert replied to LJC's topic in Rifle and Gun Hunting
Peep sights for me please. -
I'd swap you for a Winchester 100 in .284 Winchester with a set of dies and some brass if you were interested.

Opening Day Bucks Could You Pass Them?
covert replied to NFA-ADK's topic in Hunting Related Pictures
I would've shot the 2nd one and spent the rest of the season duck/goose hunting! -
Mine was waiting on the counter when I got home yesterday.
-
Last Friday like the 23rd? It's only Tuesday now, I'd give him a chance. Depending on when he received payment and how it's being shipped it may not have even shipped until yesterday morning.

All 125gr G5s for me. Strykers for the compound, Montec for the crossbow.
-
I've been doing them for awhile now but don't remember anything about a patch. Now I have something to look forward to.

Buck weight (field dressed) - what's a "big one" in NY
covert replied to buckchaser's topic in Deer Hunting
My heaviest was 175lb scaled from 5H, next was 165 scaled from 6p. Most have been 120 - 135 lb. -
Cool story. Who cares if anyone thinks you should've passed?
-
Yeah, anybody can shoot those fat lazy weak home deer. I want tough, stringy old Big Woods bucks!
-
Honestly from time to time I've considered leasing my place out too. Between the crop lease and a hunting lease I could cover at least the Town/County tax and maybe have a little left to put towards the school taxes. I don't let anyone hunt on it anyway so it's not like anyone (but me) would be losing a spot. How many properties that are now leased would be open for anyone to hunt if they weren't?

Ha ha, then you have the other dummies like me who leave the farm crawling with deer and drive 45 minutes, then walk another hour back in the Adirondacks to sleep in a tent where there is like .5 deer per square mile.

150gr Woodleigh Weldcore FP in .30-30 for my Savage 1899. Why? Because I can. 150gr Interlocks for my '06 but I have some 180gr NP leftover loaded from when I went to Alaska last year. 250gr Barnes TSX for my .450 Marlin. 139gr Interlocks for the .284 Win because $75/box for factory ammo (if you can find it) is cccrazy man!

You know that was a joke right?

Yeah, well Trump wants to legalize crossbows. Do you know who else wanted to legalize crossbows? Hitler, that's who.
-
And my concern about Trump has nothing to do with the party, I feel their moral compass went awry a long time ago. I know the feeling of being disgusted with the status quo and desperate for a way to change the direction we're headed, I just don't believe Trump is the answer.
-
I feel I am intelligent enough to weigh the consequences of any decision I make and act accordingly. Thank you for your concern though and if he should win I truly hope and will freely admit that you were right. I know Hillary will be bad for the country but if Trump wins, I fear that is crow I will never have to eat.

Except when I dare to decide on my own which direction I should go I get...

That's for semi-autos. "with any semi-automatic firearm with a capacity to hold more than 6 rounds, EXCEPT the following semi-automatic firearms: " http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/28182.html

Every election since Bush/Dukakis I wring my hands and run around thinking "Oh my God, I don't really like so-and-so but if the other guy gets in we're screwed so I'll hold my nose because he's not quite as bad." That's how the window keeps shifting a little at a time. Everyone gets to a point where they say enough. If you feel either choice is not just bad but wrong, then that's where you need to draw the line. If you're not at that point then that's your decision. Only time will tell who made the correct one. I hope you're right but I'm not willing to bet on it.

I absolutely agree that the Republican Party has been going down the tubes for a long time and for years I've choked it down and gone for the lesser of two evils. After awhile though you get tired of s- - t sandwiches. I don't believe that Trump is the answer and we could possibly end up in worse shape than with Hitlery. Trump is a blowhard, a buffoon and appears unstable. He will end up putting us in the dirt. I fear that in the end, if we hold the majority in Congress, they will go along with any harebrained policy Trump comes up with just because he's "our guy" with an R by his name and we need to support him, where they may put up at least a token resistance to Clinton. Don't misunderstand me, I wouldn't vote for Hillary no matter what, but I'm not sure if I can bring myself to vote for Trump. For the first time in my life I have seriously, considered voting Libertarian. They're normally a little too out there for me but I don't know if the Constitution Party is on the ballot.

If the Party jumps off a bridge why should I?

Some Counties rent land to farmers.

Used to do it but haven't in years. Just don't really impress me that much as a game species, I'd rather watch them from the kitchen window with a cup of coffee in my hand. Guys I goose hunt with are always trying to get me to go with them but turkey hunting really doesn't even remotely interest me anymore.
