  1. The other guy you used to spar with is gone. Don't worry, time will heal your broken heart Doewhacker. Chin up buddy!
  2. Got ya all beat! Busch in the yard! LOL
  3. Comfort food with a twist. Stuffed peppers with enchilada sauce. Was goooood!
  4. Not to be a jerk, but we can offer recommendations. You you have to try different combinations.. Arrows and broad heads. No one can tell you what your bow will shoot the best. Arrows are like rifle bullets. You need to fit to the weight and draw length. I shoot 30" mainly, and my full weight for my arrows is usually around 450. I like 125's for my broad heads. Always fixed. When it comes to bow hunting, less is more. The less you have to worry about the more you gain.
  5. Don't by cheap broad heads. Check out the WASP site. https://www.wasparchery.com
  6. I'll make you a 'special' salad. Olive oil and vinaigrette pasta salad. Bring a small tent for you and the wife. The cot in my office is already booked.
  7. City boy! Who doesn't like homemade tater salad? I am officially going to picture you in a pink dress when I read your posts, and think Malibu Barbi. Just busting Biz...
  8. Ah. Got ya. I have gotten to the point where I believe people will think, perceive, and make conclusions based on, well, nothing. On some topics, that includes myself. I do not have a need or want to post every detail of my hunts. I have posted a few things in the live from the woods. But, when I am hunting, the last thing on my mind is my cell phone and posting to a web site. My focus is on hunting. So if people want to hold that against me, so be it. As for the anti's in here............. Like I said in another thread, even a staff member here said we have them. They are parasites! Leeches! They either can't afford their own site to spew the propaganda, or they just want to disrupt every pro hunting site they can gain access too. I bet these same people support the "Safe Act" ( otherwise known as a direct violation of the 2nd Amendment ).
  9. Biz show up here? LOL. If I thought he was serious I would shoot him a PM with my number. Meeting more of the neighbors. Woman a few lots down is a hunter ( so she claims ) but hasn't hunted in a few years. Already got the 'talk', "You are not going hunting with another woman! NO!". LOL..........I honestly wasn't even entertaining the thought.
  10. OK, LOL. You good with cheap hot dogs, homemade potato salad, homemade pickles, and homemade hot pepper relish?
  11. Many need to wake up. I have been trying not to watch the news the past few days to try and be happy about buying a home. It didn't work. This stuff always makes me sick to my stomach, saddened, and to be honest, flat out pissed off as well. It's all nuts! These incidents are growing fast and becoming more frequent. This is WWIII. Or, the start of it.
  12. That would be a shame. Then the would just start over.
  13. Have you walked the land? The best way to figure out where to put stands is scouting to see where bedding areas, food, and water sources are. Hard to even get a rough idea using the topo as the pic is pretty blurry.
  14. They are moving to a new server and upgrading the forum software. I am sure it's not personal, when you move a site and change or update the software things get wonky. http://huntingny.com/forums/topic/33631-things-on-the-site-may-be-a-little-bumpy-the-new-few-days-fyi/
  15. I'll get back to you on that Biz. Not sure a get together at my house would live up to the beer pong playing, pool diving, and inflated pool toy 'activities' you are used too. We are a quiet people on the homestead. LOL
  16. Sounds like a great day being outdoors to me. Sad she has an issue with the activities. To many in the world like that these days.
  17. I marinated a couple bone-in chicken breasts in low sodium soy sauce for a few hours, then sprinkled with a little sea salt, garlic powder, paprika, and cracked black pepper. Grilled them up and had some yellow squash on the side. No pic, sorry.
  18. We have had rain a few times over the past week. One lasted a few hours but most have been short showers. Today got me, it was a light sprinkle so took the dog out and it opened up on us. Full downpour just like that. We were both soaked by the time we got inside. Toweled her off so the g/f didn't have a fit that the new carpet was wet. LOL
  19. It finally looks like a home! Everything has been unpacked and put where it belongs. No more boxes to throw away. Time to relax and enjoy. What a month and a half.
  20. Kinda like one of the bird lovers that posts on this site/Topic! Care to explain this FSW? Not trying to be nasty, but not sure what you meant by:
  21. I have seen rubs in clusters, can't recall seeing them in a line before ( not saying it doesn't happen ). I usually find a scrape or two near most rubs by having boots on the ground and looking. Not all rubs are made just to remove the 'velvet'. Some can be made to mark territory like a scrape. That's not a fact, just something I have noticed and read about.
  22. Enjoy the time away. Hope you have a pic of a bruiser on your cams.
  23. You still crack me up. You have an opinion about everything but hunting topics these days. The few you did post in was the same malicious, arrogant, garbage and made no sense anyway. Your sense of values is almost as screwed up as Hillary's. If we all chip in and buy you the "Big Box" of crayons and some sketch pads will you go away?
  24. Nice buck you have there eddie. Hope he present you with a chance meeting in range this fall!
  25. Burgers and corn on the cob. Yes, budget beer again. Expenses of buying a home are adding up LOL.
