  1. So a new area I have to hunt and an old area are going to start logging to clear areas. Seeing May is basically right around the corner, how will this effect the turkey population for those areas? Pretty sure by fall things will be calmed down, at least I hope so.
  2. I wasn't in the mood for fries, so I went with hot potato chips.
  3. IMO shooting the bow itself is the best training for muscle memory and getting form correct. Shooting the bow will help getting your body used to pivoting and keeping the front hand ( left or right ) loose so you don't torque things, and teach proper follow through.
  4. Read all about it right there. On the other thread. LOL
  5. Did that dude poop his pants or his he picking a wedgie out? LOL. Sorry, I had too. I started de-winterizing the quad. Then we took the pooch for a bath. Grocery shopping. After that loaded up the pooch in the car again and took her to the park for a walk. It was brisk and nice to be out sharing part of the day with the g/f and our dog.
  6. Thoughts be with her family and friends. R.I.P.
  7. Philly steak sandwiches ( real shredded beef, not steakums ) with garlic fries. The g/f is cooking when ever she wakes up from her nap. LOL I will try and get a pic when they are done.
  8. All the lovely women who have graced us with their boobies ( and other 'parts' ) on the big screen! Can't say I have a favorite. I always liked Rutger Hauer, Christopher Walken, Tom Hanks, Tom Berenger, Christopher Lambert, Al Pacino, Jackie Gleason.... Women ( on a serious note ), Charlize Theron, Halle Berry, Cassandra Peterson ( Elvira ), Susan Sarandon, and again many others.
  9. Nice looking mount and it makes it easier to keep the memory vibrant and fresh.
  10. I will post this link again. I think this will be #5. http://www.outdoorlife.com/blogs/big-buck-zone/2014/07/video-new-study-sheds-light-what-deer-see Deer do not see color the way we do, but they can pick out certain colors. They can also see UV pretty well. Don't wear blue ( thought many a deer have been killed by people wearing blue jeans ) or white ( white is a huge no no ), get some UV killer for clothing and blinds, and stop over thinking it. When did hunting become a fashion oriented sport? Jeez!
  11. Both her parents have trouble walking, so a cabin was the only option. I really don't care about the cabin. I made them get the most rustic of the bunch. There's a lake and I will be fishing, something I don't get a chance to do very often.
  12. Because they don't ask for feedback much. When they do they seem to generally not use it and just do what they want.
  13. What guns? I just buy bullets and throw them at game hoping they will die of laughter.
  14. I wonder id this is fluff or not. They don't seem to interested in facts about deer populations. http://www.dec.ny.gov/press/105289.html
  15. How many of you have hunted with other members from this forum?
  16. Do they set the toilet and $4it in it 1000 times to make sure it works OK? LOL! How can you guarantee a toilet? Get Al Bundy's approval?
  17. That's the only reason I posted it. Even if they aren't used in Houston, they will make to the streets somewhere and be used.
  18. I think biz just offered to help do some work on your house law.
  19. Aw man! Then there is more then one. What else could explain acorns hitting us in the head in late September?
  20. How do you research a toilet? LOL! I worked with my brother for just over two years doing mainly drywall and painting, but we did a few replacement and remodels on bathrooms. He always went with a local store. When he fixes anything on his house, that I rent, he uses HD and it is almost always screwed up. He replaced the faucet in the kitchen about a year ago, it's already leaking again. I re tightened everything and it still leaks from time to time. But, n another note, when the motion light in the backyard went, I bought a $50 replacement from HD and it's been working just fine. I did have to replace the bulbs, but the funny thing with lights is you have to do that once in a while.
  21. Are you sure Paula? We went camping late September in a state park and something kept throwing acorns at us. LOL
  22. I used to like that show. Now it's just old and boring. The first 4 cast members they had I liked. They had personality. Even if Dave did lie to get on the show. These two new guys, I just can't connect with them. They don't give me the feeling they belong on the show. Just my humble opinion.
  23. Where did you get that from? You don't even have to show up if you plead guilty. You can mail them a check or money order.
  24. Anyone here been there? The g/f wants to take her parents camping ( well cabining ), and this seems to be the place they decided on. Seems to have good reviews and sounds like the fishing is pretty good as well.
