You are welcome.

Happy birthday to your son Zem.

I am waiting for a dill pickle beer or garlic beer. Imagine how beer brats on the grill would taste after soaking over night in a good garlic beer!
-
I would. I would set the sleeping area lean-two up a little different though, maybe a double angle to get my bed back a bit more from the opened face to be a little more out of rain or snow.

I was always a #4 shot myself for birds. Everything else was #6. After a few people on here said they use #6 for just about everything, that's all I have bought again, and in 2 3/4". Except the Rio's, but that was to test non toxic shot that wasn't steel.

Chops off the grill, leftover veggies, and instant mashed potatoes.

10-Year Vegetarian Here That Now Eats Meat...
DirtTime replied to Heraclitus's topic in Introductions
Welcome aboard. As many have said feel free to ask questions. The first thing I would do it get signed up for your hunter safety course. The second thing I would do is never call a hunter ( or outdoors person ) "normal". We get up way before light, head off into the woods to either climb a tree and sway in the wind, sit on a wet tree stump or in a blind, walk for miles and miles, see nothing, and then go back the next day and do it all again. Devoted, hell yeah! "Normal", nope. LOL -
That about sums me up. I just used the 28" field barrel with a different choke. The one exception was a Mossy 500 I bought used, that had a 24" barrel on it. I could never really tell the difference in patterning from one to the other. Ammo yes, barrel no.

Isn't copper fouling worse in a barrel ( in many cases ) then lead?

DEC charged two guys with poaching; http://www.dec.ny.gov/press/105321.html The odd thing to me is the guy who shot way to many deer get's a $3,800 fine, and the dude with a weapon he wasn't supposed to have only pays maybe $1,500 and a year in jail. He's already a felon so why would jail time scare him?
-
Gotcha. I wasn't being rude, just going by the pics.
-
Odd question... Top pic shows two trucks, front bumper to front bumper, so how did the rear bumper get damaged?

It's a woman's bug out camp. Watched the vid a few months ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_n1_-seZkU I thought it would make a great blind as well.

I stopped by Wal-Mart this morning and they have a sale on 2 3/4" Winchester Super-X steel shot, $6 per box. Pretty sure that's about 50% off. So if you like or shoot them stock up.
-
I bought a box of Rio Bismuth for turkey hunting. Because I got them at a local shop it was $40 for ten shells. Just feel that's pretty steep IMO. I used two to get a pattern and the rest will be for shooting at game not paper. I had a Dr. appointment today and on the way home I decided to hit Wally-World. They have the Winchester Super-X steel shot on rollback for $6 a box, so I picked one up in #6 to see how they work in my shotgun. I have nothing against anyone who uses non lead ammo, nor lead ammo for that matter. I do agree 100% on no lead for water fowl do to how much it effects all living creatures around the water. You shoot, pellets that miss end up in the water and it effects the fish, frogs etc. .

How did this movie not ever get an Oscar ?
DirtTime replied to turkeyfeathers's topic in General Chit Chat
The Bunnyman Massacre was a typical slasher flick, while the Human Centipede movies were created for the shock value and to be disturbing. -
Good point. LOL

Franks on the grill, grilled jalapeño peppers, baked beans, steamed veggies, and fries.

Anyone have a link to some stats on how many animals die each year from lead? I know it happens, but all the sites I find state completely ridiculous numbers, millions. If millions of animals died each year from lead poisoning I think there would be far more species extinct then we have now. Sorry, I don't buy the 'millions' statement without facts to back it up. I agree with using non toxic rounds. I just don't see why they cost so much. Until the prices come down you will not see many people making the change.

Like most it was a farm when I was 14. Weekends during the Summer. Pay was something like $15 a day. Made enough to buy ammo and fishing gear.

But, it makes valid points! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-SHZxplMmM&app=desktop

What is a "Lead Ammo Zealot"? How have they 'tarnished' anything? Ya know, the big thing you don't seem to actually understand is: "NOT EVERYONE CAN AFFORD THIS TOP OF THE LINE AMMO!". Some people have to buy ammo that fits a budget. It's easy to sit around and say hunters aren't doing their part. It's easy to live in a box thinking people just ignore conservation.

Ack! I don't use cheese whiz on anything. I don't even use Velveeta for my mac & cheese. I did up mushrooms, potatoes, onion, German sauerkraut, and spicy kielbasa.

Hunter safety course....fill up fast
DirtTime replied to turkeyfeathers's topic in General Chit Chat
My g/f wants to take the hunter and bow education courses. I told her start looking now and get a spot when she can for both. She has no interest in turkey, so the schedule is a bit more flexible, but you still have to jump on them when they come up near you.
