    I have a pure bred Siberian Husky, usually she loves the cold but, today I would take her out and when she was done she was pulling me back inside.

    Took a page outta Bizs' book. Garlic/chedder Italian sausage with peppers and onions. Actually hit the spot on the frigid day.

    Just looked, says -24 with wind chill here. I have a Husky and even she goes out does her "b'ness" and almost rips my arm off trying to get back inside. Was out side in this crap for two hours this morning with my brother trying to get my truck started in the parking garage at Ellis where it died yesterday. Funny how most parking garages aren't high enough for a tow truck. Temps are going back up here starting Monday.

    Congrats on the new gun! I really don't have an issue when it comes to buying guns. When I bought the two I got last summer and the g/f asked "Why two?", I said "You can't hunt turkey with a rifle. I plan to have as many guns as you have nail polish colors.". That was the end of that. As long as I can afford it, I can buy any gun I want. EDIT: Except an AR. She's trying to be tough about that but, I am softening her and so is the news. LOL

    Not actually dinner, but just had a salami and swiss on pumpernickel with the g/f's homemade sliced garlic pickles sandwich as a snack. Sorry, no pic.

    My desk top is about 5 years old. Not a performance machine, but I push it to the limits with my art software. It was getting a bit slow but that's because of all the stuff I have on it. After that Windows 10 came ( I didn't install W10 ) through it acts wonky all the time. The g/f's laptop is about 3 years old and that things runs faster then NASCAR running Talladega. But, she doesn't have anything on there except some photography pics she takes.

    NICE! Good luck. For my area temps will be back in the 40's on Monday. Messed up weather that's for sure.

    That's the same way I make jerky. No dehydrator so I just use the oven, low & slow right on the racks with a drip pan. I use a little Worcestershire and then my own spices for a marinade. Tonight was another fusion style dinner. A soup made with pork, shrimp, onions, and mushrooms, chili powder, hot curry powder, and a few other spices. Wide lo mein noodles, garnished with bean sprouts. I also used some ripened jalapeno slices from a batch I made last summer. Man those suckers are hot. LOL Steamed veggies on the side.

    Why not build it? I would use propane heat over kerosene though. The day ever comes where I own enough land to hunt on I will have a few permanent blinds and use a heater in them.

    Got an alert on the phone today saying temps in certain areas might dip to around 50 below. My area is saying 20 to 30 below. Stay warm and use a few extra layers if you have to go out.

    Then work on your approach. Don't walk in and act like Al Bundy when he was in the mood! Have some manners try fore....... Never mind. Most women don't like gun oil for a massage. Forgot where I was for a minute......... Oh, as for Bill....That is what it is....If you are worrying about that more then getting the wife you have issues.

    G/F is having dinner with her old boss tonight so it's just me and the pooch. Dog had her usual homemade chicken stew and I did a twist on hamburger helper and used hot sausage and diced hot cherry peepers I canned.

    Something tells me Pygmy couldn't be pretty if you put him on "Face Off" and all past and present contestants worked together on that make up.

    Sounds like there's no lease so I wouldn't be doing any work on the property.

    I would look up the areas you plan to hit and see what they have to offer. Not on the DEC site, but the actual public land sites for the areas. Pretty sure there are a lot of people here who hunt those areas and might offer help.
