  1. Not really. I just don't look at the news for any team but the Bills unless we have a playoff shot. What do I care if the Jets make a switch, or Ohio and Texas can't make up their minds to have a team or not in some cities. Jets @ Bills will be a good game next week.
  2. I am not trying to be negative. But the concerns this addition can bring up are valid. A violent felon can buy any air gun on the market. So, it would only make sense that at some point air guns would have to be registered. So a NICS check is most likely in the future for some if not all air guns. You can skirt the topic, but it's there. If I have to spend a grand without all the crap needed to use an air rifle for big game, then get a NICS check.....I will buy a new actual rifle or shotgun to use to kill a deer. Just my opinion and not meant as arguing. I don't see this as the great new tool for poachers, there are crossbows that can get the job done at a far less hit on the wallet.
  3. Why? Fitzpatrick has proven he stinks and is in no way a consistent 'clutch' player. To 3 teams now.
  4. I expected more from you Papist. Where I live? Depending who they have converted, and the businesses owned by people we are not sure we can trust or not ( most of the people committing these new atrocities here have no record and are considered upstanding people, not just by the family either, invisible enemies ), I am already in boat with a hole in it and no bucket to bail or paddle to try and get away. I am not left, right, liberal or WTF/E. I am about anyone who can help this country gets it balls back and realize that disarming the general population will be as effective as crapping in your hands and tossing it out a closed window.
  5. He's showing a ton of pure talent. He's usually pretty accurate ( that pass to Watkins while running almost full bore today was awesome! ), he's fast, agile, and they can use a lot of QB run/sneak/bootleg options. He brings a threat and depth to the Bills offense we haven't had in a long time. Making three Dallas defenders miss and running for that 1st was an example a well. The only thing he didn't do was catch his own pass. He has to stay healthy though, and today he was beat up and it started showing as he was slow getting up in the 4th a lot.
  6. Second half had me throwing my hat, cheering, cussing like a trucker, and then the Dallas fumble on a kick-off return with a little over 2:00 to go allowed me to actually breathe again.
  7. The only problem I see is finding a new spot to put them on. Maybe even 2 new spots.
  8. AZ is playing great this year. It will be one of them.
  9. During our drive dropping off Christmas baskets yesterday, I figured I would drive by a few places I used to hunt private land in. 3 of them are now condo complexes, and 2 others said no flat out when I asked about hunting there. One was the same people and he said it was a liability issue and even apologized about it. The other place was a new family and they guy was flat out rude and slammed the door on me. Driving around those old areas and even doing some state land hunting in an area I haven't been too in a long long time, I have a hard time dealing with so many changes. Nothing I can do, but it's still sort of saddening If that makes sense.
  10. Bills pulled it off. Pretty good game to watch. If Taylor can stay healthy down the road I think he'll be a solid QB for the Bills. We should finish at 8-8 as I don't see the Jersey Jets beating us next week. Carolina was the shocker of the week. Wow, I can't believe they lost. I am hoping for a Cincinnati - Carolina match-up for SB50, but looks more like it will be either Carolina or AZ - New England.
  11. LOL! Would the people you help depend in skin color? Sexual orientation, or religious values? There will be no left, right, up, down, or sitting on your thumb spinning to determine a "side". The big thing no one realizes is there is no "SIDE" anymore.
  12. Why not? Being a Bills fan is like hunting. We set the expectations high and then hope for the best.
  13. Your aren't a Communist? You want everything your way, you want to decimate all opposers, I am not even going into all the people you and VJP hate. What do the two of you do except post things that make people argue? Like I said, if crap hits the fan, there won't be any left, right, up, down, or center. Here's a question for both of you. If things go bad while we are still alive, would you give water and food to people who needed it?
  14. That makes as much sense as the pic you posted looking like a war God of deer screaming over a kill. That was classic Papist. "Me man, me kill deer, whAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!.".
  15. Yeah, I know, we are out of the Playoff scene. I know sometimes being a Bills fan is like stepping on a rusty nail. This will be the first televised game in my area of NY for over a month. Picked up some microwaveable halepeno poppers and mozz stix, and going to make my own hot wings.
  16. I agree here for the most part. My issue with the "Dynamic Duo" is they push their opinions too and post more political threads then hunting. But, like said, you don't have to post on the topics, or read them. Move along and post something about camping, hunting, fishing...........If you step in cow $h!t and wonder why you stink that's on you. This is rubbish! While I agree that some may be a bit paranoid, to actually not see that the powers that be want us disarmed and vulnerable is like thinking there's no such thing as puberty.
  17. I think that's correct, I also think that in NY it's illegal for anyone under 16 to posess any air gun. I may be wrong. So the FPS for small game is 600FPS, and for big game it will only be 650FPS? I don't know about that........ We all know DEC has it's own agendas ( we also know most of them are on a more Government associated scale then we like ), and this is starting to sound like another one. That still doesn't answer how the sale of air guns will go now. Will they stay the same, or will they have to have a check through NICS now or in the near future? We all know how our Governor works. Not trying to make this political, just looking down the road on the repercussions of this addition.
  18. Clip - Something women use in their hair. Magazine - Something to be read.
  19. There's nothing wrong with having the Political Thread. I do get the feeling it was meant more as a place to discuss gun laws and the like.
  20. Nothing to do with anyone's statements or comments. If they allow them I am fine with it. I have no issues with any legal weapon someone can use to make a clean kill on any game animal. But why are they using a quietness factor for the whole proposal? That's what I say makes no sense. I would also like to see what regs put on them as far as FPS. What about buying them? In NY you now have to be approved by NICS for a muzzle loader. So how will it work buying an air rifle if this passes?
  21. There are many great bows out there for less then $1,000. Even with accessories you can in get under a grand. Including a dozen good arrows. "O-Ring" replacement I suppose would be the same as string replacement, it would have to be done regularly and cost would depend on quality. That's where apples and oranges stops. Now it becomes canned corn and dragon fruit. With the state of gun control and some local mom & pop places already reeling, they won't be able to afford to bring on an airgun smith. If you want quit, buy a bow. Tried, proven, and reliable. I am not going into the lost or unrecovered deer issue because a bad shot from a 300 mag. can result in a lost deer. That's a pretty devastating caliber! I am sure it doesn't happen often, but does happen now and again. If NY DEC wants to let them in, so be it. But, the reasoning with the proposal makes no sense. It's all about noise.
  22. Whether you spent the day with family, friends, or just watched TV all day, I hope you had a great day. The better half and I decided back in August, we weren't going to buy each other the usual gifts. We agreed to only spend $20 and make gifts for each other. Instead of a bunch of presents we decided to do something different. We went and saw the new Star Wars movie, and had dinner at a Japanese Hibachi/Sushi restaurant. Movie was good and I think I ate at least two pounds of sashimi. The g/f went with chicken and shrimp from the hibachi and the chef put on a nice show.
  23. Glad the young one is feeling better. Too much excitement maybe.
  24. Some state land I used to hunt in 4A was always odd when it came to litter. One area was like a dump, bottles-broken-and whole, cans, and household trash ( people would dump bags of it ). The other trail heads were clean and I never found much in the woods except really old rusty cans with those old pull tabs. Usually the cans were Genesee. A few years ago on a camping trip to a state campground I almost vomited. I got used to the park operators not clearing the fire pits a long time ago. I get camp set up and get ready to start a fire, I locate a poker stick and start moving the old ashes around and find two diapers in the fire pit. They weren't melted and the people in before us had left the same day we got there, dang they were ripe. They must have dumped them in and then covered them up. I never leave anything behind*** ( OK, maybe a spent shell I missed ). I am a smoker and I keep old pill bottles to put the butts in. ***Except, TP. I am not putting soiled toilet paper in my pocket or my pack even if it's in ten baggies! That's just gross! I also won't be using my hand to wipe and then "rinse" it with water. That's just beyond disgusting! I will now never look at a hand shake the same way again. OH, to add, if I have to go and forget TP and no leaves, the item I will have to give up to clean up will not me making the trip home either.
