And I think people who have to carry a 300 Mag rifle to shoot a whitetail deer are compensating for something. With that said................... The woman who was asking me for help went with a 9mm. I did try to talk her up to at least a 40 S&W, but no go. She has never fired any weapon before and the g/f volunteered me to help her out with caliber and selection. Yes, she already took her course. Man, going to all those shops made me want another shotgun and rifle. She was happy with what she picked. I did talk her into a mid size pistol though. A little more weight will help with the recoil. Better for a first pistol IMO. I was glad to help and it got me another private land spot to hunt.

They did shrink. But, they didn't loose flavor and they stayed tender. This was the first time I had tried putting them in a 'soup' based meal. Came out great to me. A little spicy for a few due to the spices.

Seeing the g/f was not going to be here for dinner, I made sort of a 'fusion' style chowder. Picked up some clam juice, a can of diced tomatoes with chopped jalapeño peppers, jumbo shrimp and scallops, some fresh-water mussels, and some rice noodles. I wanted a seafood chowder, but not Manhattan or actually NE. Sautéed the scallops, shrimp, and mussels on EVOO and garlic, put the tomato/pepper and the clam juice in a pot and added the sea food and let it simmer for an hour. Then I boiled up the rice noodles and iced them to keep them al-dente. It came our great! Chinese rice noodles, Manhattan style clam chowder broth, and my own spice recipe.

NYS has no clue WTH they are trying to do with hunting. They are eating 'magic mushrooms', and trying to pull rabbits out of their 'pipe'. I will agree that something is fishy with this air gun BS. I will also admit, I don't really like it and I think an air rifle no matter of it's capabilities would be an insult to hunting big game. Just my opinion.

Made a beef roast and did it my way. It was small so 300 for an hour and a half. Came out perfect. Brown on the edge and red in the middle. The g/f doesn't like it that way, but it's easier for her to cook a slice a bit more for med/well then it is for me to get it rare again. Also made baby golds and fresh green beans.

I really didn't read all of this. IMO it will just be another tool to allow hunters to sit in a chair and be lazy. Nothing like scouting from a chair.
