  1. I was gonna say it would be roomy for me, but hey I could fit a hand warmer in there.
  2. It’s not the climbers fault it’s operator error. I’ve always had my bottom section tethered to the top. Third hand archery makes stabilizer straps and they work excellent for tether’s when climbing. Then pull tight when you reach your height you want and it locks the top and bottom together for rock solid hold . My harness is on me and around the tree before I even start .
  3. The caliber of bucks taken this year during archery are fantastic guys. Congrats to all the successful hunters ..
  4. Love my levers. but 150 yard shot, 308 bolt.
  5. You got this. You’ve put in the time shooting long distance. You know to take you’re time and watch the body language of the deer, and knowing the deer is calm and knowing your self loaded bullet is way more accurate than a factory round . It will connect. Looking forward to seeing the harvest photo with the yardage posted of the shot.
  6. Wait how do you know TF put them on his nips ?

  8. Nothing from archery and only one doe tag for the 3 of us. So the bar is pretty low ..

    pistol carry?

50 of my full tilt hunting rounds in my 44 vs 50 self defense rounds in my lcr38+p . Ill feel it a bit in the web of my hand after the lcr session.
  10. I agree, but if I can get both my hands in there........................
  11. This is true, but based on what I witnessed our first year( in season scouting / hunting ) we put up stands and blinds this year and out of the 4 stands and 3 blinds we saw deer from 5 of them , just need to make adjustments on placement. Luck doesn’t hurt , one can put in the time to place stands etc. But being in the right spot at the right time is huge .
  12. Figured we all could benefit from ways we keep ourselves warm on stand. Something I started doing was placing a body size hot hand on top my head under my wool hat. I actually was shocked how quickly it warmed me up the first time I did it. I allways put deodorant on my feet so they won’t sweat, a preventive measure. So what’s some creative ways you all use?

    pistol carry?

That’s a rifle that was left In the dryer to long..
  14. Yesterday was my last day for archery , I was sitting here at work thinking about mine and my sons season on our new lease. This was our second year and even though we did not connect on a deer ( seen a bunch but nothing in bow range ) we both learned a ton . Between cameras and what we were seeing , it really helped us learn how the deer were using the property. We have a lot of work to do next year moving some stands, setting up new ones and clearing and putting in more trails. I enjoy putting my woodman ship skills to the test to see if I can put us on deer consistently. It’s a little tough starting over after I hunted a piece of property for 30+ years that I knew like the back of my hand . But I do enjoy trying to beat deer at their game. Even though they win more than I do..

    pistol carry?

For the last several years I have hunted with revolvers only, started with a Black hawk in 357 loaded with 180 grain hard cast then stepped up to a Super red hawk in 44. There’s a few on here that carry a handgun.
  16. I feel your pain, it is a bit frustrating. My son and I have been out and we’re seeing deer but nothing in bow range. Pull the cam cards and dang should have been in that stand. I will say I’ve learned a ton about how the deer are using this new lease. Between what we’re seeing and what the cameras are picking up, were going to make some changes and additions for next year. Next season will be our 3rd season, so 3rd times a charm I hope. And we still have rifle yet. Maybe not as satisfying as s bow kill but I’ll take it..
  17. Get your size of your tire /rim and go to tractor supply or Walmart. Buy the rim tire combo done, ready for Wednesday trip .
  18. I really hope you get one with it. A photo of that fine revolver would be appreciated, Those Dan Wesson’s are awesome revolvers ...
  19. A local tire shop should be able to do them . I know walmart sells tire and rim on the floor also, I would think they could mount tires too.
  20. Wife will be taking her Weatherby Camilla 7-08. Son will be taking his Marlin 30-30 . Myself I’ll be taking for the first time ever is my grand dad’s 300 Savage 99, My dad gave it to me probably 15 years ago. I just loved hunting with my revolvers so it sat in the cabinet. So I decided this year it’s the only gun I am carrying. Looking forward to taking a deer with my grandpas savage.
  21. My wife as she’s getting older is loosing some interest also, says the same thing about the cold. Going to do some serous research on the electric heated clothing for her.
