  1. Do some research on it. Don’t take my word for it. I get being skeptical. but until one has read about how it works and actually tried one, really has no traction with their posts or comments.
  2. You are correct it is a hunting sight, but it’s added bonus is it’s a rangefinder also as placing the correct width of the V on the vitals gives instant feed back.
  3. Will be putting up 4 ladder stands with in the next few weeks, I really like to get them in earlier but have been so busy.
  4. I’ve been in your shoes, I had hunted on my cousins property for 30 + years and he ended up selling. He did offer it to me first but we just didn’t want to acquire that kind of debt this late in life. So now we lease, I am on my second parcel after loosing my first and I have to say I like the second one better. Good luck and keep plugging away there is always state land if you have too , or score a lease it’s not to late to get one and do some scouting.
  5. I just looked up the SRF, And yes similar but the EZV is pre calculated to frame the deers vitals for the speed of one’s bow. And the EZV does have tick marks for yardages or you flip it and only use the V to frame.
  6. So this sight intrigued me when I first read about it. If your not familiar with it , look it up it’s a pretty cool concept. Ok , so a bit about my shooting style. I have always Concentrated on the target and blurred the pin . Not sure if this has helped with the transition to this sight but I picked up the concept pretty quick . You use the V in EZV to frame the vitals of your animal so naturally the top wide part of the V is 20 yards then closes together for longer distances as the deer is farther away and the vitals get smaller. So I found it pretty easy to concentrate on my target and my brain /eye would naturally center it in the V. The pictures are at 20 yards and I was kinda impressed with myself. I was grouping quite well after I got it sighted in.( the last time I shot my bow was the winter league ) So as of now pretty impressed with this sight, I love the open view concept and no pins in the way.
  7. Dont know how you feel about dipping them, but I like to do mine in a snow camo.
  8. I still miss hunting with my dad, and it’s been 15 years he’s been gone. I truly hope you , your brother and dad have a great season this year..
  9. Full body work out 3 days a week, can’t stand cardio. But what I do different with my weight training is I only take 10 -15 second breaks between sets and push myself . But having said all that we hunt 67 acres, it is steep in some spots but no need for a marathon hike.
  10. You mean , MEAT the same fate ...
  11. Pull behind a atv?? Your missing a perfect multi task. Just think of the work out one would get , put on a super yoke and hitch it up and drag it around ... Looks good though. post up some photos of it in action .i bet it will work perfect for what you guys need..
  12. Yes they do, I can’t tell you how many times I have doubled up on doe’s by shooting one and then just siting quietly after and had the other come back looking to see what happened . Now if they do this with a road killed deer , idk..
  13. How’s the ride with the leaf in the pack ? Did it stiffen up a bit ?
  14. Nice, did the leaf go in the spring pack or is it a bolted on add on ?
  15. Just remember successful kid/ kid’s . Successful parenting..... congratulations to your daughter and kudos to mom and dad...
  16. Straight ahead facing, and leave him in the middle the other two frame him nicely. Great looking deer, all of them no doubt..
  17. I agree, to me one is better off buying thunderheads or original muzzys ( they are a tried and true heads ) vs buying the cheap Chinese knock off’s that one doesn’t know what they are getting.
  18. Wife and I we’re at the gym and then had some dinner In around Corning, nothing but some rain and thunder lightning. Did see the cars backed up on the 4 lane though. Be safe everyone..
  19. To me broad heads or bullets are not to be cheaped out on, For Pete sakes people it’s whats doing the work and killing the animal. Now granted lower cost versions can / have performed excellent on animals , but why risk a cheaply made product.
