  1. Hey bud, reach around right now and give yourself a pat on the back! You are doing great! Keep it going, you got this!
  2. You now have three more reasons to be excited for opening day!
  3. Any deer will be just fine for my grandson's first deer! I got sweet revenge, last year, on an old doe that had been busting me for three years! No matter where I set up in that area, she would bust me and blow! Cost me a decent buck two years ago. But last year I moved out of one of my ground blinds to a fallen tree, a short distance away. It's the first day of crossbow and here they come, at least six does being led by big mama! She stopped, looking dead at my ground blind 45 yards away. Doing the head bob and stiff leg she knew something was up. Three of them walked within 10 feet of me! She slowly stepped from behind a big hemlock at 17 yards and I let the bolt fly. She laid down for the last time 50 yards away. I got more of a thrill seeing her fall than a lot of the decent bucks I've killed!
  4. Its a bribe from the local deer, for you to hunt elsewhere.
  5. C'mon man just be honest. And at least get a shred of your credibility back here. All your other posts have been cool. Or maybe you just don't care about your credibility?
  6. I noticed the corn but missed the block. But growalot's eagle eyes don't miss much!
  7. Both are nice bucks! The deer in 2nd pic has a much longer G3 on the left side. I'd say 2 year old deer all day. But it's been proven here, that I suck at aging deer pic's! I'm much better when I see em live!
  8. Just got the coveted, hard to get 4 H, with only one preference point! WooHoo! More backstraps for the freezer! Should have stopped and bought a couple Lotto tickets on the way home!
  9. Will ya really be proud if you put that nice 9pt. down? Have him mounted? Tell the story of the hunt, but leave the bait part out? Post him in the harvest section here?.........hope not.
  10. Very deceiving pictures and comments from the original poster. Could very well be a master baiter. At the very least, he gets a BIG...C'mon Man!!
  11. Just when you think that times are tough for the working people and 2nd amendment rights, remember, that if or when she gets in. Things can get a whole lot worse and most likely will. I've voted in every election since the age of 18. And never have I been more dissatisfied with the choices we have for this one. But I will vote! The lesser of the two morons, that may better preserve my rights.
  12. I'll be lucky to get out once or twice during the first couple of weeks. Grandson's baseball games, a wedding and other commitments make early October hit or miss for hunting. Just as well, I won't tip my hand too early. And have lots of time planned later in the month and a good chunk of November!
  13. At 50 yards that's good shooting with a handgun! And your daughter looks very comfy behind that 20 gauge! Great day!
  14. Welcome! Glad you decided to join us! Be nice if you shoot over to the introductions section and tell us a little bit about yourself.
  15. Thanks so much everyone! He's been tagging along for a few years, and now looking forward to carrying his own bow and being a hunter. Whole different game now! Gonna be a fun season.
  16. Only if it runs down your leg first! That would be the real deal. Are you in rut?
  17. Hey, no slam from me. For you, if it aint broke don't fix it! For me, my wife is my best friend and partner in everything. So do I "have to ask" if I can make an $800 or $1000 bow purchase? No, but I would. And she would do the same for me. We're partners.
  18. Nice catch! Way to go! Is that your one eyed drunkin sailor look in that pic?
  19. Go now before you do something to make her mad! You know a woman's perogative, is to change her mind! Sounds like you got a keeper for a Mrs.!
  20. My grandson passed his NYS Bowhunter course today! Completed the firearms course last week. He juggled school work, the homework for the two courses, two Saturdays, baseball practices, bow practice and chores the last few weeks. Quite a bit for a 12 year old these days! Never heard a complaint and I'm so proud and happy to call him, officially, my hunting partner! All that is left is for him now, is to draw blood. I'll do all I can to make that happen. He's ready! Picture of him and my friend Steve, one of the instructors.
  21. I bought a sheet of 3/4 inch treated plywood and a box of 1 1/2 inch x 1/2 bolts and washers, and did it myself, in under an hour. Saved about 75 or 100 dollars ! As I remember.
  22. I have that same trailer. Bought from TC about 10 years ago. Had to replace lights and wires a couple times. But other than that, it's held up pretty good. Use it for ATV and yard work. For the money spent it doesn't owe me anything.
  23. Probably would still need a map to get through!
  24. Will stop shaving in a week or two. Won't shave till after the season or I get a buck. No nuzzling with the Mrs. till it comes off. It irritates her face. So hoping buck comes early! My grandson says he would grow one too, if he could, for good luck!
