Congrats to everyone who scored or saw some good deer movement. This morning was actually the first hunt of the season without seeing a single deer (it was hunt #14). Now I'm at the office for a few hours. Ill be back at it for a PM hunt. Good luck out there!

It was quiet in 8H all day, then at 5:30 a group of 5 does slowly worked their way into the field. Then all hell broke loose when 2 small bucks and a decent 6 chased them in circles until dark. Good to see some action. Too bad forecast is calling for rain all day tomorrow.

I can throw in a garage full (summer’s worth) of cans that Mrs. Plav wants gone before the snow comes.

Getting off topic... but I think Johnny Treehugger could've touched the deer (assuming this was in NY) From DEC website: Carcass Disposal If there is no reason for submission and you would like to dispose of a carcass for sanitary or esthetic reasons, three options exist: - Burial in a location that will protect both surface water and ground water from contamination. Keep at least 200 feet away from wells used to supply drinking water. Be sure the carcass is covered with at least 2 feet of soil. - Triple bag carcass and dispose of in a landfill. - In rural or suburban areas move carcass to an un-mowed, brushy or wooded area at edge of your property for natural decomposition (may be unsuitable if close to neighbors). Yep... not to mention that high shots from a treestand may result in a single lung hit. Deer can go unbelievably far on a one lung hit. Often times with little or no blood. Unfortunately... those are lethal hits.
