  4. My uncle gave me a Marlin model 60 for my 6th birthday. Still shoot it all the time.
  5. What type of food are you into? There are lots of great options. TRATA as mentioned above is a unique place that is consistently good, as is anything in Village Gate. Dinosaur for BBQ, Tony D's for Italian. Near Tap and Mallet and for a bit less $... La Casa for Mexican, or Napa for Pizza. Swiftwater Brewing is close to Tap and Mallet... thats a cool place to try more beers, but food menu is small.

  10. #2 peacock bass in the state, behind Biz
  11. First time out this year, boat ran great but couldn’t hook up with anything trolling. Couldn’t leave without drowning some worms... got up enough pan fish for a few meals. Fat perch was the trophy of the day . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Heading out on Hemlock tomorrow for the first fishing trip of the season. I acquired a downrigger over the winter... so we'll see how that goes. Ill likely be soliciting some advice from you trollers.
  13. Damn Culver... that things a beast. Some of the smaller folks on this forum could use it as a sauna/tanning bed.
  14. I bought a Nesco FD-75A for making jerky. I've made 5-6 batches so far and its worked great. Very simple and easy to use (just plug in and adjust temp). Cleaning isn't too bad either. I was afraid it would be too small, but the size is great. Made by a company in Wisconsin, although I think the fan motors come from overseas. It was just under $60 on Amazon, very happy with the purchase.
  15. Bambi Burger! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Oh yea... I caught a pre-spawn rock bass like that once Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. This guy bet 25,000 on a daily double and got it right. Definitely fun to watch.
  21. In the past Iv considered jerky from ground venison a bit sacrilegious, but Iv been burning through my roasts to make jerky, so I ordered a “jerky cannon” from LEM. We’ll give it a try. This is a trial run to check the seasoning. And yea... I use a rubber glove because I make it super hot and wear contacts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Nothing Id consider doing, and certainly the youngest buck you could imagine for a hypothetical... but if someone wants burn an antlerless tag on it, sure.
  23. Shoot whatever deer makes you happy. Then eat it.
  24. I wish the time spent on this ban was put toward something more useful, but if it helps cut down on litter I wont complain. But please don't fall into the trap of believing this ban will help the oceans. The vast, vast majority of plastics in the ocean is coming from a handful of Asian countries. New York plastic bags are, well, a drop in the ocean.
  25. Happy Birthday Biz... more evidence that 1984 was a great year for births!!
