    It's a Halloween miracle! In March of 2020 I ordered 3 boxes of 325WSM for $50 each and free shipping (to a state that's not NY). Well Covid hit and travel plans and logistics got all messed up, and I actually forgot about it. I never followed up and checked if I was charged or credited. To my surprise, yesterday the three boxes were found... turned out they shipped right away.

    Fun hunt tonight. Finally saw one of the big boys in daylight. A big 8 stepped into the field about 80 yards away to check out a small buck that was harassing a doe. He then quickly decided it’s too early in the season to be in the wide open so he went right back into the thick stuff. I ended up passing on a spike and two does because they were by themselves and looked small. I suck a judging doe size unless it’s a really big doe.

    Had a horny little 4 point harassing a group of does tonight. And the only deer who came close enough was this bb. He eventually bedded down under me. Sorry @Lomax!

    Missing tonight’s hunt because we are watching my buddy’s 3 kids in addition to our 2. Sucks to miss out on a promising PM hunt, but this should all but guarantee we are done after 2 kids. Worth it!!

    Finished products… the pistachios will get handed out to a few friends and the smoked shank meat is in the freezer, destined to be a ragout on a cold snowy day this winter.

    One of the kiddos has a fever so no daycare for him… that means I got to stay home and hang with him. Did a batch of ghost pepper pistachios and a pair of venison shanks.

    He’s no where near some of the other bucks posted here, or even a few other big bucks Iv had on the property… but I was obsessed with this guy for the entire 2019 season. I never got a daytime picture and he seemed to disappear after the winter.
