    I must be getting soft… top left pile is for the dog. I guess at 9 years old he can get spoiled.

    Tonight’s project… a doe hind quarter that’s been aging for 2 weeks in the deer fridge.

    Chick-Fil-A is the only fast food we get… and that’s only a couple times per year. It used to be a special treat when we traveled. Now there’s one less than 5 miles from our house and we have it less often.

    Windier than expected… but it sure beats working. Anything besides a button buck wins a free trip to my freezer.

    Skipped out of work early to go hunting and my wife had Chick-dip-A waiting for me. Wind direction is gonna be more important than ever when the fast food farts kick in.

    Snow expected to start tomorrow morning, so deer will be moving tonight, riiiiight???

    These are all 50+ years old. The 2 big ones get used all the time. The small ones less often… but they look good on the wall!

    We have 6 different styles/sizes... I definitely prefer the old ones to the new ones. The only one I don't like using is a new lodge with the grill ridges. Food looks good, but its tougher to clean than the others, and I guess I just prefer the flat ones, and grill marks coming from a real grill.

    No buck yet for me either… I’m in good company!! I’ll still hunt hard for the next 2 weeks, but freezers are full, and the 3 guys I hunt with got bucks. If all seasons ended today I’d be more than happy with the season.

    Here’s the little guy headed to my stand. Really small for Dec in this area. There’s some other fawns around that are like twice his size.

    Calm morning until 4 deer came running through… of course the only one who stopped and hung out for 30 min was the tiny button buck. He got a pass, and the chess match with his mother continues.
