    Not worked up at all. Every deer I shoot is for food. And if this poor hypothetical guy is hunting public land near me... he’d be better off going for squirrels and raccoons.

    What about during the season? Everyone is OK with bending the rules if the guy fell on hard times and is feeding his family? Shooting at night OK? Over bait? How about if he trespasses? What if he posts a pic of the deer on a hunting website? Not trying to be a jerk, just playing the devils advocate. It’s a slippery slope when you start breaking laws. What if he can’t find any deer so he breaks into a house to steal food? Or money?

    Just met Mrs. Plav for a midday Costco run. The crowds seemed normal and they were fully stocked. The only things we wanted and they didn't have were chicken thighs and chickpeas. Weird.

    Happy to see the banquet is still on! I panicked when I saw an email about it. Sounds like the whole situation is being handled appropriately and responsibly by the coordinators. Although recommendations be damned, I plan on shaking a few people's hands tomorrow.

    Absolutely. As incredible as these bucks in this thread are, I think for most of us the experience of the hunt counts far more than an antler score. My most memorable hunts are not necessarily my biggest bucks. Hell, for some of my most memorable hunts, I wasn't even the one who pulled the trigger.
