I have to agree with ants on the 30 06 , you can buy factory ammo from 1O0 grain to 220 grain . Sent from my VS880 using Tapatalk

If you go to Bowsite.com / NY , Pat has a post where he is using a not expensive .223 bolt action with a good/ pricey night vision scope . He and his son seem to be making out pretty good with that combo.

http://www.harrisbipods.com/,I ordered mine direct from them , smaller one , got it in a couple of days , not the cheapest but well made and good service.

I have tried it 2 times , both times the the birds ate the seed before it grew.

Pay a farmer to come and do it.

I have had 2 both from 8 weeks old , 1 male and 1 female , the female was the better hunter of the 2 and loved to sit beside me at night, the male was thick headed but would listen , had him trained for blood tracking deer , he picked up a sent pretty good. House trained both from the get go. Never hunted rabbits with them because of the Fox in the area killing the all.

I have a young red squirrel that has been hitting a suet cage that I put up away from the bird feeder , I put a slice of old pizza in it and it keeps on coming back for more all day long. This has been going on for 3 days now. Cool vid. but it looks as if the other animals did not try to protect the one that was attacked, they just stood there and watched.

One place we hunted in the past, private property, the owner had 2 large mixed breed dogs , I always wondered why a few times during the week we would see them chewing on body parts from deer, we thought they were remains of deer that were shot and they were fed the pices. Until one day while posted I saw them chasing a deer , the kept at it until the deer stopped running then one went and grabbed one of the deers rear legs and the other one jumped at the deers neck and killed it . These were not free roaming dogs they belonged to the owner.

The pictures bring back memories , I spent many a night into the wee hours of the morning surf fishing all round THE END.

Clay that's what you need, I dug a 20' x 40' hole up in the woods , wet weather spring fed with a very good flow. packed the sides and bottom pretty good with whatever clay I could find while digging. It filled up about 1/4 of the way and then the water found a spot at the bottom to drain out. It now makes a good burn pit.

When we dug our small pond we put a 12 inch culvert pipe 1 foot below the top that drains into a ditch on the side of the road. We never had a problem with it washing over the banks. Either did our neighbor who has there 100 x200 foot pond for 50 years that is spring fed with a ditch for an overflow , they also have Koi. That have been in there for close to 40 years , you have to see the size of these fish. Sent from my SM-T817V using Tapatalk

Grow. , as I said some time ago , Make sure the banks of the pond are higher then the surrounding land. I found out the hard way, 10 feet deep when dug out and now 3 feet deep , filled up with 7 feet of silt that washed down the surrounding hills on 2 sides that were logged not long before that ,from heavy rains that we had afterwoods..

Same here they do get use. To you of you are out there every day doing chores on your property. I have, had them just stand there and, look,at,me while, going by them on my tractor or a tv only 10 feet from me. But when you are not that active during the week they do get spooked and Leary of you .This happened this year , I was not out there every day because of my open heart surgery, when O did get out there, they would look at me and walk away slowly and not stand. There and watch me. Sent from my VS880 using Tapatalk

The little water hole is frozen there not going near it, but the hinge cut trees are getting hit when they travel threw the area.
