That is an absolute dream and a half of mine to go on a crazy hunt. I want to hunt bull moose in the yukon, badly! Not greedy though, but fun to imagine. Thanks Treeguy.

Thanks! I hope this is just the beginning, I really want to make a difference.

It sure wont have salads lol. I want Mexican food, already been thinking about that! Also, I forgot to add, that I have never been on a plane of any sort. This is huge for me.

Thank you TF, I am honestly blown away that I was noticed....but I really wanted to share with those who have followed this thread. I know you were especially always very interested, and I appreciate that.

As some of you know, I created an Instagram page a few months ago to show what can be done with a prosthetic arm, instead of the sane old pouring a glass of water, etc. I also was disgusted seeing false info spread on Youtube of people who were looking as if they just thought they were cool. I don't like when false info is given when it comes to these prosthetics, it benefits nobody! As I was saying, I decided to start my own Instagram page showing what I do with my different prosthetics, on a somewhat daily basis, simply to inspire others. This morning I was contacted by a very large company in whom is the manufacturer of some of my devices. A marketer noticed my page, and started following it. I had no idea who this person was, but she messaged me asking to speak on the phone. It turns out she offered me to become an ambassador for the company. They are offering to fly me out to Austin, Texas to video interview me, do a photoshoot, and perform tasks with the prosthetics. This is exciting, and shocking to me. I do not have a Facebook, and have never been a social media type of person. In fact, this hunting forum is as far into social media, that I ever really got. I figured I would share this since this could potentially be life changing, and you guys seemed very interested when I started this thread.

Friday I ordered a Mission MXB 400 crossbow. I cannot wait for it to come in. The bow shop, and I will figure out a way for me to pull it back. The dealer really dislikes the Mission RSD crank, but I may just buy it, I cant imagine it is that bad, once you get used to it. I dont wear my prosthetic arm while rifle hunting, and do not plan to wear it for crossbow hunting either. I think I can pull it back easily with a custom strap for my left arm to compensate the length differences in my arms. I also bought two more trail cameras, so I set them up today as well. 4 behind my house now. Friday I head up to thr Adirondacks to our cabin, to hunt with my dad.

Ever see the morons spin those at about 35mph with a streetbike rear tire, lol. We still have these in our parks system. That main bearing takes a beating, and we have a scrub brake installed on them.

Thank you for the info, I am as new as it gets to crossbows. The bow shop, and I are going to come up with a way for me to pull the bow back without the crank. I will still most likely buy the crank though, i really want to have both options. Yeah, lol the wording is confusing for me, I even called my local DEC regional office for a direct yes, or no, if an adjustable draw weight was legal for hunting. Crossbow was 225 at its max, but was able to be dialed in a 200, etc.....nope not legal. As far as laws, they irritate me to be completely honest, I feel a lot of it is out of control. I am talking about all sorts of different laws, amongst many topics. For example, NY wants me since I was 16 to have a "steering wheel assist" aka suicide knob on the steering wheel of my vehicles, PLUS an automatic transmission. I actually have those restrictions on my license. Im 31, and have had 4 manual transmission commuter cars, that I had put 25k miles a year on each, over a combined 14 yrs. I refuse to use the suicide knob, and I run backhoes, excavators, stump grinders, trenchers, chainsaws, on and on, and these folks in Albany think they know best. I get it though, they can't find an expert in each field of what they are setting rules/laws for, but some of the rules set, just do not make a lot of sense. A 225 lb draw weight would kill someone accidentally, just like a 200 lb draw would, unless I am missing a key bit of info here. Why not simlly have a minimum draw, this way it does have enough power, and distance to clean kill an animal if you truly aimed ethically. I don't know, it's early, and sipping coffee....not really venting, just thinking out loud as I read your reply.

I really appreciate that, THANK YOU. My fingers are crossed.

This is a great thread, I hope this generates into a big database for info on this. I would like to learn this.

I ordered the Mission MXB 400 this evening. Now to see if I can cock it without the crank. I don't wear a prosthetic arm when rifle hunting, so I don't plan to use my crossbow with a fake arm either....I want to see of I can use the rope cocker, I love defying the odds of what people think I can/cannot do

I know its 35 lbs minimum with a vertical bow. My point I am trying to make is my vertical bow is capable of being adjusted from 19-70 lbs. Yet I hunt with it since its set at 48 lbs. I was referring to this simply for the point of wondering if this is going to be acceptable with a crossbow if I set it to 200#, thats why I asked what the difference was. Just getting a bit frustrated with all the regulations. Who knows, maybe my compound bow isnt considered legal since its capable of being adjusted below 35 lbs for deer hunting. I honestly don't know anything about adding a shim to the limb pocket. With archery, I am like the type of car owner who does not know how to work on them, just drives them.

You are saying exactly what I was agreeing with you before this post....and I have been referring to your DEC info all along since I have it screenshot before these posts... My Hype comment was about the point that it is manufactured to go below the legal deer poundage in NY, however I can still hunt with it if it set to legal weight or higher. Also, the crossbow appears to adjust with a large allen key anyway to adjust draw weight, other than tack welding, I dont see a way to lock it from exceeding that 200#

I hear ya Culver, my compound vertical bow can be dialed down to 19 lbs....what is the difference here? The Charge is dimensionally legal as far as I see, but I would set it like you said at 200. Just like a shotgun with a plug...I wonder if thats "ok". My Mission Hype might not be a legal vertical compound then...
