  1. MP8's? I pulled some cards the other day that have over 3500 pics on them (what a pain to sort through). They had been soaking since the end of May. I had very few empty pics, although I do seem to get more empties in this recent heat. Multi-shots work well, but like I said, the night pics have all been blurry.
  2. That's surprising, mine of have been flawless. Never had the purple thing, but the night pics do suck though. Only clear when the animal is dead still. At the time I accepted that trade off just because I was thankful to not be scrapping a camera in 6 mos to a year. I've got a few Brownings that take much better night pics.
  3. After a few years of going through those early cheap trail cameras like Wildview and Wildgame, I started buying Coverts. MP6's and then MP8's. I have 9 of those and up until now, I've never had one fail. My oldest (either 2013 or 2014) just started acting up. Night pics are black, and the menu keys are dead. Still taking daylight pics as expected though so it's not actually dead yet. That camera has never left the woods since the day I bought it. Just thought I'd share, a damn good run for a sub-$100 trail camera!
  4. Currently on Craigslist in Bath, NY. Not mine or owned by anyone I know. Just checked C'list and it was one of the first ones that popped up . https://elmira.craigslist.org/grd/d/bath-1949-ford-8n/6916025764.html
  5. What did I miss? Why would the police be after you?
  6. Now you're talkin! How about the Louisiana hot sauce?
  7. Anchovies should be considered a standard topping! Our youngest daughter inherited that from me and sadly I can only order it when she visits. But it has to be on a separate pizza. I can't even order it on half the pizza, my wife says she can still taste them. It's a travesty!!
  8. Was doing a little brush hogging tonight and had two hens come out of the goldenrod and ran down the mowed trail for a hundred yards or so straight away from me. No poults.
  9. Happy Birthday to your Brit! Looks like he's going to have a good day! I like that pic by the fireplace.
  10. Thanks everyone. We didn’t do much today, but took a dinner cruise on Seneca Lake last night. Relaxed most of today, which was perfect for us.
  11. Good Lord, I cant believe 40 years has gone by already. I met Doreen way back in 1976. One of our earliest dates was fishing on the Oak Orchard River in a rented aluminum boat. I think I turned her into an outdoors girl. Two daughters, four grandchildren (and counting). 40 years ago we said “I do”, and we still do!
  12. Sliced tomatoes fresh from the garden on white bread with mayo and a dash of salt and pepper. With a glass of beer.
  13. Is that a boat fender protecting your door from bumping that post? I like that idea.
  14. I usually let the trail cams do my scouting for me this time of year. Getting that boat and being in kind of a summer mode, I haven't done any brush hogging yet. Last evening I rode out back with the ATV to grab a couple of cams, and the old hay fields were over my head. I could have had a herd of FSW's deer within 20 yards of me and I wouldn't have been able to see 'em! The two cams I grabbed were pretty much just pics of timothy and goldenrod waving back and forth since mid-June. Need some tractor seat time!
  15. Neither of our vehicles have the stop/start technology, but I had a Malibu rental two years ago that had it, and there was a second battery mounted in the trunk.
  16. I locked my keys in my old 1990 Wrangler once. I just reached up through the hole in the floor pan and grabbed them.
  17. Coincidentally, for the last 11 years I manage a manufacturing/assembly/packaging operation employing people with disabilities. Over 125 employees with disabilities.
