  1. I don’t do it much, but I’ll pop one later in the year on a windless day and let you know when I do. Would be cool to know if you could hear it!
  2. It is!! But I haven't gone past 3 lbs yet. At 3 lbs the neighbor down the road calls to see if we're OK.
  3. I bought my Tundra about six months ago after drooling over Tacomas for six months prior. I came to the same conclusion on both specs and pricing. Went full size. Nice to have the 6 ft. bed. I've had an ATV in there, a 12 ft rowboat, a canoe, and a pair of kayaks already. And no, not all at the same time, lol.
  4. Me too. I had a 1988 Bronco that I bought in '90. Loved that truck! Salt ate it pretty bad though.
  5. Saw my first one driving by the Ford dealer in Ithaca yesterday. Looks sharp from the drive by. Need a closer look.
  6. You're absolutely right, and it never crossed my mind in those early days. Those were shotgun days, and a 3 inch slugger was pretty devastating at 50 yards. I do remember a messy field dressing experience.
  7. I hate the prattling old biddy, but that's pretty cool! Wonder what she does with that crystal thing under the glass? Or maybe I don't want to know!
  8. I get a kick out of how they say drinking, smoking, and vaping is dangerous because a young teen's brain is not fully developed, but it's OK for them to vote with a les than fully developed brain and thought process.
  9. Just saw that news article. I’m going to do my best to not crash mine!
  10. Years ago I had a small four point come in to bed down about 50 yards away. Took it and I was happy to get a deer, let alone a buck. It was like my third or fourth deer ever. Never gave it a thought, hell, it was probably the only deer I saw all day. So I thought it was great luck to have one lay there and give me that shot. Looking back on that, it seemed like cheating and I’ve passed on them ever since. But if a big 140 inch buck laid down I know I would shoot it. So I’m self-hypocrital.
  11. Is Tacks 6'5" with or without the 4 inch high heels?
  12. She'd get seven of nine from me for sure. Kind of partial to Jolene Blalock as T'Pol though..
  13. Three pages of a derailed truck thread and nobody mentioned a Tundra. There, now it's mentioned.
  14. So, interesting circumstances today. Within about 30 minutes after posting here this morning, I was contacted by the current supplier who seemed very interested to make things right all the way around. Also mentioned locking in low price in May and matching or beating my lowest competing offer, all of which has been suggested here. Pygmy - that lowest offer that I mentioned was from Countryside. I oversee purchasing at my job and have done that here and at a previous job for many years. That has taught me to give a long standing supplier a chance to make things right (and I appreciate when a customer of ours gives me the same chance, if I should I need it). If I can't work it out, I have Countryside to go to. Seems like coincidental timing, but this forum is read by more than just the members. Thanks for the advice from everyone, it's been more than helpful. But I think I'll stop posting details about this until I have an outcome. I'll update when I do. Great knowledge base on this forum - on a wide range of subject matter!!
  15. I called the current provider yesterday and complained about the pricing being 75% higher than the competition. I kept it civil, but did insinuate that I consider it price gouging. The person on the phone suggested I speak to his supervisor after which he put me on hold to speak to him. After a minute or two, the person came back on the line and said the supervisor would call me back within minutes. 18 hours later, no callback. I called back and told him to take me off the auto-fill schedule. After dwelling on this a bit, I really do consider it gouging. My $620 bill would have been $350 with the local provider. Can you imagine pulling up to a gas pump and being charged $4.70 per gallon? The more I think about it, I'm starting to get really ticked off (at myself too for putting up with it). 10 year customer, pay my bill as soon as it posts online - usually 2-3 days after a fill-up, and not even a callback? I see the NYS Attorney General has a web page form to fill out if anyone thinks they are being price gouged by energy companies. Hmmm...
  16. B for Bionic? Is he saying he’s your father?
