  1. You know, I was somewhat in the minority by liking Doug Whaley in his day. Always thought he was being handcuffed as a GM. Beane has made me forget all about Whaley. He's been masterful in last year's draft and in this year's free agency. Last year he was taking some flack for drafting the wrong Josh - Allen over Rosen. Now Rosen is being lightly shopped as trade bait before his second year even starts.
  2. I was bummed about that as I saw Mahomes perform in his sophomore year. But I'm all aboard the Josh Allen train. Toot-toot!
  3. Loving the Bills offseason moves. Thanks for Morse!
  4. I feel your pain. Built our house in 2009. Haven’t done a thing to it since then and my taxes have tripled. Must be all the tree stands.
  5. Big buck with a crossbow in mid October, or fat doe with a muzzleloader in September, or yes or no on using .223 on whitetails over bait behind a fence?
  6. Facebook has it’s ups and down. I post pretty infrequently there, but it keeps me in touch with friends and family. Both Daughters post regularly and post a lot of grandkid photos. I like a few news sites from here and back in Rochester so it’s good to see what’s happening while I scroll. Some people post every detail of their day every day. I just don’t pay attention.
  7. Frequent morning wood appearances...
  8. I'll likely observe the ban. I know sparks and embers can travel, and not all areas are wet. I'd hate to be the start of a problem on a neighboring parcel. It just seems odd as the particular spot is in a gully that's usually wet anyways, under 6-8 inches of snow and within 50 ft of a small pond. And it's going to rain on Friday (was going to burn on Saturday). Elderly guy across the road from me got ticketed two years ago, but his fire got out of control and started a couple acre fire that the local fire company responded to.
  9. That’s sucks. Still have close to a foot of snow in the woods.
  10. Couldn't read the article due to no subscription, but I got the gist of it. I used to spend $1-2k there annually. I haven't in quite some time. Cabelas, Bass Pro, and local Mom and Pop's get my $$$ now.
  11. Last year the ban started on 3/16. Is it the same this year? I've been dropping some of my poor quality trees the last few weekends and was hoping to burn a mountain of scraps this weekend.
  12. Heck, I just thought you were hung and stowed to the right...
  13. Looks great - what a beautiful buck!
  14. Pulled a couple of cards close to the house yesterday. Snow is still too deep to get to the other cams. That first one is going to be nice this fall!
  15. Looks like he’s got a positive attitude to fight it. Wishing for the best.
  16. Looks awesome! This one really appeals to me, I think it’s your best yet. Love the antlers, ears, eyes, the whole pose of the head. Beautiful!
  17. Ummm, I'll have to check, but I think I'm busy that day...
  18. I understand and except for the neighborhood and crime part, I'm experiencing the same things. I've come to just lump all of that together as general NY BS. Darn shame too. I know it's an old saying, but I really do love NY. Except for the NYBS part. With retirement a few years away, costs are the biggest driver for me.
  19. I read through most of that and am confused. Section one clearly states you can't leave it unlocked if someone under 16 is in the home, but section two says you can't leave it unlocked out of your control and doesn't specify anything about 16 or under. Are they sneaking that in under the guise of keeping kids safe? Section two amends the penal law by adding a new section 265.50 to provide that no person who owns or is custodian of a rifle, shotgun or firearm shall store or otherwise leave such rifle, shotgun or firearm out of his or her immediate possession or control without having first securely locked such rifle, shotgun or firearm in an appropriate safe storage depository or rendered it incapable of being fired by use of a gun locking device appropriate to that weapon. Failure to safely store rifles, shotguns, and firearms in the second degree is punishable by a fine of not more than two hundred and fifty dollars.
