    Well, this good looking guy just showed up on my last card pull. Must be doing a little seeking action from down the hill. Ya think he spotted the cam? I put the photos in this collage and it reminds me of one of those memes. You know the one - "say, that's a nice camera you've got there, be a shame if something happened to it...."

    Bills fan for 40 years - I've seen my share of ugly, that's for sure. Ugly hasn't stopped me yet! And there is that chance, albeit it's only a .0000000000001% chance, it could be an ugly win!

    Even though I'm a die-hard Bills fan, I wasn't planning on making any kind of big deal over the MNF game tonight, But this past Saturday, my chimney cleaning guy cancelled due to the weather. He doesn't have another Saturday free for almost two months, but could fit me in Tuesday morning - the only clear day this week according to the weather forecast. It's been a royal PITA at work to take any time off this year but if I don't skip tomorrow, I'm not going to have my wood stove available until who knows when (needs a good cleaning and I believe I've got a nest in the top of the pipe somewhere after finding two stinky dead birds in my wood stove over the summer). So now I have no qualms about staying up late to watch NE perform their annual massacre, AND I get to bow hunt at least tomorrow afternoon. Three day weekend planned this weekend for the Cross-gun opener too. With only two sits under my belt so far for October, my dreary archery season is looking up! Oh yeah - Go Bills!

    I've busted two trespassers while I was in a tree stand wearing head to toe camo (same stand for both trespassers). One was in gun season, one was in bow season. They never saw me and I let them get within 20 yards or so before I said something. Was fun to see them jump out of their skin at the sudden sound of my voice. Busted another trespasser (one of the same above) who stalked my decoys during spring turkey a number of years ago. I stood up and shouted as soon as he was in sight and I realized he wasn't a deer coming through the brush. I don't know if the camo helped in that case as we were both blocked by brush. My decoys at the time were poor quality (still are). He was 30-40 yds away and was raising the gun when I got his attention. Of course they were "turned around", thought they were on a different property, blah, blah, blah. As I escorted the turkey hunter to the property line, I suggested he invest in glasses if he thought my crappy decoys were real at 30 yds.

    Live from my desk at work. Wish I could of finagled today off, especially with the rain day tomorrow. Gonna live vicariously through all of you that are out today. Even got my stand snack to make it more realistic!

    My property taxes have averaged an $805 increase over the last 7 years. F Cuomo - highest property taxes in the nation, and is answer is a 2% cap? Why doesn't it go the other way?

    M-W of Thanksgiving week. Scheduled 4 other days for bow/crossbow, but the job/workload hasn't been cooperative this year for taking time off. Keeping fingers crossed for Thanksgiving week!

    As long as I can remember, I've taken the day off after the rare Bill's prime time appearances. I'm usually asleep by 9-9:30, so I'd rather stay up to watch the whole game without the dread of the next day's early rise creeping in. Not this time. I'll watch a little and then turn in and go to work next Tuesday morning. And this from a rabid Bill's fan. Not going to a game this year either. Just because they are tanking doesn't mean I'm devoting any real time to it. Yesterday I cut the grass from the second quarter til near the end of the third. The lawn looks nice...
