T-bone steaks and grilled summer veggies with pineapple with a Brew York from Ithaca Brewing Co. Grilling in the warm summer rain.

the OP doesn't specify if this is for big game season only, so without that, I'd say I'd give up the bow. Too much other hunting like grouse, turkey, squirrel, pheasant, predators, etc where a gun would be the predominant choice. Sure you could still use a bow, but I'll stick with gun and switch to a camera for deer bow season.

Nope, did some reading on this and seems like I've learned this before. It's a cutaneous fibroma or deer warts. Ugly, but mostly harmless unless they get infected. Here's a pic from the web of a more severe case;

Sad accident - hunter shot in Quebec
Steuben Jerry replied to Steuben Jerry's topic in General Chit Chat
I do agree but can't find any pertinent details on that article or a google search on others. Could have been an accidental discharge. One life ended, one forever changed. What a tragedy. -
http://13wham.com/news/local/mendon-man-arrested-for-shooting-fellow-hunter-in-quebec The article isn't very detailed. Not passing judgement, but very sad all around.

That's a big boy!

Wonder how close I can get to her starboard side?

No, I didn't think they were the same deer. I may have a pic of the tumor deer from a previous year, or at least one just like it. I'll have to scour some old pics to find it tonight. I think I posted the old pic here before, but was probably a casualty of photobucket.

I didn't notice that. Looks like it's missing.

Couple of odd photos. On the top one, I'll guess it's just part of her change from winter to summer coat, but the bottom one looks like a nasty mass growing there. I've seen that before a few years ago.

From the most recent card pull. Haven't seen any doubles or triples yet.

Not unrealistic, but just thinking of doing an entire acre with a walk behind makes my back hurt! I've got a front tine that I use on a backyard garden, and I think a rear tine would work better for you.
-
Congratulations to you both!

I honestly would like to see them. Maybe not blow this thread up but start another? From a business standpoint I'd be interested in how your general business operations run.

I've got an Old Town squareback canoe, not too much different than a Scanoe. I've run a 55 lb. Minn Kota, and a Yamaha 4hp gas outboard on it which moves it along about as fast as I'd want on a canoe. Fairly stable with two people, although I wouldn't take a shap turn at WOT. Stay within the capacity plate maximum. Fun little boat with an outboard.

Hmm, mentioning Molinaro prompted me to check his status. I came across a comment on a news story about his running mate Julie Killian, that said she's pro gun control. Have to check that out some more - sure hope not! -

My bad, I was confusing the nominating convention with the primary. The problem there is that his competition is far to the left - and most likely worse for gun rights. We need a republican back in office. I guess Marc Molinaro is our only hope right now. Although I haven't heard much at all from him. I know it's too early to actively campaign, but he needs to work on name recognition if he has any chance. -

The primaries were a couple of weeks ago. Cuomo took 95% of the state delegates. -
Good lord, does that thing have some moose in its DNA? What a buck!

Thanks! Plan A is to stay here, just researching down south for Plan B.

Come on over for a beer and sit on my deck. That's our chicken coop and those are second year cubs. Had to shoo them away. Pic is a few years old now, but we see them semi-regularly (except for bear season of course). And people ask why I built the run out of chain link fence - works well!

Happy Birthday Culver! -
Pulled a few cards last weekend. Haven't been through them all and still have a few more to swap, but got this bear about 30 yds from one of my pop-up blinds. It's a poor exposure, but looks to be a good sized one, presumably male? It was the second to last day of turkey season. I was at work that day, and I admittedly would have experienced the pucker factor if I was sitting in the blind at the time. The time is correct, so I would have probably just gotten settled in if I was out. Hope to see him in the Fall when I have a bit more than turkey loads in the gun!
