Not live, but yesterday. Chickened out on taking the new little boat on Canadice with afternoon T-storms in the forecast. So my wife and I grabbed the kayaks and did 9 miles on the Cohocton River. Nice, easy afternoon paddle. It never even rained here.

I'm hoping I'm in this group. I've never had it. I remember a few times as a kid goofing around in the woods building forts and whatnot where my buddies had all gotten it, and I never did.

It was actually in Lockport. It was the Darien Lake Tournament. He plays on one of the Greece Tornado teams.

In Buffalo today for our grandson’s baseball tournament. Saw this place on Transit Rd. New York Beer Project. Cool place! Sampling the IPA’s, waiting for Beef on Weck paninis.

I love that little motor. Light enough to tote around easily. I just lay it down on the back seat floor when we put the boat in the truck bed. I've left it in the truck overnight before, and not a hint of gas smell the next day. That little built in tank lasts a long time too. Starts on the second pull after sitting all winter, and the first pull during the summer.

We've taken our canoe on Canadice a couple of times per year. What a beautiful setting! Pic below is our canoe rigged for trout on Canadice. Got a little clamp on downrigger we use. I can do great on panfish, but I suck at getting a trout out of that lake. For some reason I've haven't ever been on Hemlock. I think we'll hit one of those lakes this weekend if we can dodge the thunderstorms.

I like having a "truck boat" or two and for the last few years have been using a flat back canoe for fishing the small waters around my area. I found this on Craigslist today from a seller in PA. 12 ft Sea Nymph. It's a lightweight model so it only weighs 100 lbs. I've already got a little 4hp Yamaha outboard to put on it. Hopefully I'll have an easy time at the DMV tomorrow to transfer it, and can get it wet this weekend. It'll be nice to have a little more elbow room, but still be able to get in the small waters.

I have no idea what folks do there. Just sharing that in some places they are actively trying to confiscate. Though I suppose anyone can rat somebody out. Ex-wife, jilted girlfriend, business competitor, etc.

Some of my response will echo parts of some of the responses above. The Safe Act is a state law. NYS gun owners could have voted out Cuomo last time around and that would have sent a clear message to state legislators. From the outside of NYS looking in, it appears that NYS likes their gun laws, as we keep re-electing the "leaders" and legislators right back into office. The NRA has limited resources and do not spend them on lost causes. NYS appears to be a lost cause. And again, somebody tell me who is fighting harder for my gun rights, and I'll send them the money instead.
